The place was nice & food was really great i have to say but its expensive, i mean i understand the vibe & all but it charged me rs 200- 250 extra in total which was not worth it in my opinion.
If you are near college street & budget is not an issue then go for it.

Jewellery food dresses home decors available..little crowded in weekend.. you can bargain to reduce little amount of money.... Plenty of design .. plenty of types....

Carry water when you go there. It's crowded and hot and muggy. But the numerous stalls have some great merchandise at great prices..bargain away. Don't buy from the first 3 shops. You will get an idea of actual prices only then. Great plac for sarees and ready made blouses. Also imitation and oxidised silver jewellery.
Once the shopkeepers know that you are a serious purchasing shopper they will bring out merchandise that is kept inside and not on display. Some great discoveries there like handprints sarees...hand embroidered blouses etc.

This place needs no introduction. The heart of South Kolkata, Gariahat, is one of the busiest and most popular places in Kolkata. One can get different items, be it a photo frame, saree, pottery items, beautiful products to light up the room indoors. Many cafes and restaurants are also available here. Commuting is also very easy here. If someone comes by metro, he/she needs to get off at Kalighat, from there take a bus to Gariahat more. If someone wants to come from the EM bypass, he/she needs to take an auto/bus from the ruby more. From Garia, an auto route is available.
Definitely a great place!!!

One of the popular and establishment markets in South Kolkata adjacent to Ramkrishna Mission and Southern Section of Indian Railway System and many more important connecting roads. However, this KMC Market,Ward#68, has been built up for proper arrangements of all shops from the basement to the 3rd floor along with KMC Offices and LICs.branches.
From pin to pencil, from fresh fish/meat to frozen items, fresh fruits to frozen dessert, from household items to regular outfit, from grocery items to the wholesale goods, from beauty items to house decorations are readily available here. Overall this market is immensely choice-able among all sections of people.

The place is the busiest and most crowded market place of South Kolkata. There is nothing that you can't find here. Clothes, shoes, jewellery, cutlery, decorative items, toys, electronic items and lot more. Despite the shops of big brands, these road side stalls make a good business here. Best place to get durable stuffs in cheap prices.
