I made a quick trip to Brettos Bar to sit down and relax with a cold beer. The place was packed with people, but I was shown into the room to a corner table. Incredibly stylish place, very cool colors and decor. The tables were also unique with trays that you pulled out to put your drink on. I didn't try anything other than a beer there, but I thought it was a great place.

Delicious liqueurs. I tried the caramel one and the hot (40% alcohol with cinnamon). I prefer the caramel. My partner got the peach one based on peach juice, and it was so refreshing.

Really neat stop. Great spirits and great friendly service. Really enjoyed a never before heard of liquer; Mastica made from the distilled tree sap. It was really pretty on the inside with bottles of different types of liquor some of them crazy sounding like Banana and Basil liquers.

A bar that stands out for its unique drinks and offers a colorful atmosphere where it’s really enjoyable to spend time. They have a large selection of homemade liqueurs, Ouzos, and Brandies. Some of their liqueurs are good, while others are a bit too sweet. I would recommend their cherry liqueur.

I’m not very fond of their Brandies, but their Ouzos are absolutely excellent. They have five different types of Ouzo, with alcohol content ranging from 40% to 50%. My favorite is the Red Ouzo with 48% alcohol.

Since it's a well-known bar in a touristy area, the prices are high. The staff is generally polite, but I think they need to improve their service.

While this place is renowned for its brandy and wine, I wouldn't recommend visiting for cocktails. There are other bars in the city that offer better cocktails. However, you absolutely have to try their 7 brandies! It's a friendly and fun place with a great atmosphere. The staff is super helpful and energetic, always ready to assist you while you enjoy your drinks. The music is fantastic, just like in most Athenian bars. Athenians are truly people who know how to have a good time. So, definitely add this place to your itinerary!"

Overall pretty great experience at this fun little bar. Need atmosphere inside with all the color bottles on the wall and great customer service. No issues talking with the bartenders who will help you do select distill liquor and their selection wines that they do. They do offer tastings, which are quite nice.

The oldest distillery in Athens, with a very cool interior and the worst service. The staff couldnt care less if you want a drink or not. When we finally did get served we had a glass of wine with few liquors that were €7/8 euros each and tbh one was enough to share for 3 people as it was overly large glass for a liqueur but they were nice. No air con inside with a few seats outside.

This is the first time I am reviewing a bar without having anything in it. I had read some good reviews so on my recent trip I reached Brettos Bar around 8 PM with my wife to try some nice white wine. It was totally packed, not even one chair empty. We did not mind having our drinks standing, but in spite of standing for about 10 minutes none of the staff approached us to take our order. There was no choice but to leave, disappointed. However it was looking very colorful and cheerful, really deserves at least 4*. May be next time !!

What a unique place. Loved it here, our server was so nice he made our afternoon even more unique he was very helpful with his recommendations. And the selection of wine, cocktails and spirits is unbelievable.

We tried some of the cocktails here and they were great. We loved the atmosphere as well!
The cocktails were strong and we enjoyed it.
If you want to eat something so grab it before or after because there’s no food here

Wow, that was a great experience. Actually, we just wanted to have a drink, but then we realized that rather cheap wine tastings are offered. So we went down the cellar and there we had it. Our own private tasting with Antonio, which was the most knowledgeable person on wine I ever met. He knew soo much and gave us a great variety of red and white but also great recommendations on what to do, where to go.

One of the best cocktails I’ve had in my life and fantastic service! I had the hot temptation. It was the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. They have forty flavors of liqueur and I want to try them all. The bartenders are so friendly. Definitely coming back to buy a bottle of their alcohol!

Historical distillery still in use. Very atmospheric and attractive inside, like a stage set. The tables outside are really nice but you must go inside to get the full feel of this lovely bar.
They also serve a large selection of Greek wines with detailed notes on each one in the menu.
The service is very good, and while the prices were a bit higher (not much) you were getting great value for money.
They do wine testing that looked fun and informative.

A great experience in the oldest distillery in Athens. Their cocktails are on point, and this distillery has several offerings, amongst others there own Ouzo.

🍸 apple martini is a must!

PS: they also offering a wine tasting, but you can ask for this downstairs as well- yes, there is a shop downstairs as well:)
