We were craving some food at 11pm and this was the perfect place. Hot soup, fresh bread and chicken. Everything was delicious and the service very good and quick.
Most well spent 12Fr. of my life. The Dürum is the size of my forearm, even girthier, the service is great and the taste is amazing.
As a person living in Berlin, paying 15 euros for a kebab is almost a sin. However, if you're drunk after a night in Basel and need a boost, Steine will not disappoint.

I have their card which after buying 10 durum gives you one free. I've had 3 freebies to date. Durums now 11 francs but are enormous.
I travel a lot, and have visited this grill restaurant since 2007. The prices are ok, considering they are open 24 hours, a blessing for late arrival travelers. This visit didn't disappoint either. CHF 11 got me a foot long donner kebab (kebap) and was really tasty. You choose the salad and dressings that goes inside. Day 1 I choose the flat bread, it fits a lot inside this long sandwich. On day 2 I chose the round bun bread instead, no cabbage as this will keep you wake, and was surprised by how delicious the bread was. Maybe the garlic sauce with black olives added the special flavours. They have tables inside if you want to watch the TV, or outside to watch the trams coming and going. They also sell cans of beer and soft drinks at reasonable prices.
Very good quality of Donner kebab and big portions to! A foot long durum kebab costs 10 chf which made this place a vfm choice for a quick bite in Basel city.

A bit more expensive than usual Kebap places, but definitively worth it. My dürum has been huge - and delicious.
