$16 for this sandwich (the sophia which has 3 ingredients 😭). really should have gone to pret a manger instead. i went on a lunch break on a tuesday. From first bite, the bread was super hard to bite into. I almost asked them if they had fresher bread they could switch it out to.
I can’t believe how expensive a build your own would end up costing. $4 for meat, $1.50 per other topping. Im guessing that it’s expensive because of rent in the area and the amount of staff they have.
The good thing was that I only had to wait less than 10 mins for my sandwich, and the decor was nice. I would not come back, but if i did, maybe i would try the hot sandwiches instead.

Sooo the sandwich I built myself here was phenomenal! However a couple disappointing things:

I went here years ago and had forgotten about this place. Their sandwiches are unbelievable—both the variety of choices and taste. I went after lunch hours close to closing. I imagine during lunch they are packed though there is some seating. The gold wrapper of the sandwich always made me feel like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Very nice place with cozy atmosphere, nice music and super delicious sandwiches!
The sandwiches from the breakfast menu are great.

Excellent sandwiches, great meats, fresh bread, and nice customizations.
Reminds me of great sandwich places I used to frequent in Philadelphia.

NYC is a tough place to compete. Anything less than 5 stars these days can be misleading as if this is a scathing review. It’s not. However, when compared to other choices, even within this category, my score is relative.
There were at least 8 people working the line between runners, slicers, someone working the cash register and all kind of other roles. The ingredients were good. The bread tasted fresh from the same morning delivery. Again when comparing relatively, my score is based upon my taste, value, and service.
The place was busy so it definitely appears to have a following.
Certainly not recommending against it. Also, with compressed time for lunch, it’s an important factor. They can fulfill (and appeared to efficient at it) very quickly, carry outs, deliveries, and walk-ins.

One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in town, generous portion with reasonable price. Ingredients are super fresh, ordered “Pinocchio” , it was really really good, also loved the “Italian Cheesesteak” , absolutely amazing !!!
