Very nice public space with plenty of great views and amazing sound quality. The production I saw there was phenomenal and not only because of the effort of everyone but also with the assistance of the space to bring it all together. It was awesome, and definitely a great spot to take a date to plus it's a nice area to lounge about with friends when shows aren't on
Saw Malvolio there last night. Gorgeous theater! Clean restrooms. Audience seating is "bleachers" style and not super comfortable, but adequate.
The Harlem Summer Jazz Festival in Marcus Garvey Park was fantastic. The music was a South African flavor. Woza Masekela
The stage is great and all seats have an unobstructed view, but the seating has two issues. Hard, flat, right-angle seating is really uncomfortable for mor than an hour. The backs are bolt upright! And the benches are straight across, without curving. The outer seats don't face the stage, they face the wings.
I have been coming here for years. Tonight I watched the stage play of Malvolio and the stage production, sound quality and lighting was the best I've ever seen here. The restrooms looked to be finally open to the public. They have improved amazingly.
Went to see a performance by the Classical Theater of Harlem. Great night. Great performance. You can check out more of their work @ClassicalHarlem.
A fabulous SummerStage screening of Summer of Soul. Great seating, sound, bathrooms. Unfortunately NYC Parks mismanages the park. Several trees that were delivered for planting are still not in the ground and are dead or dying and the burdock is out of control.
