La Bicyclette is a gem in Carmel! The food is consistently solid and full of flavor. I highly recommend starting with the oysters—they’re fresh and delicious. The gnocchi is perfectly crafted, and the pizza is a standout with its wood-fired charm.
Their wine selection is also a fantastic touch— excellent pairings that elevate the meal. The cozy ambiance and friendly service make it a must-visit spot. If you’re in Carmel, don’t miss this place!

Delicious tulip and bacon soup, fish curry and lobster tortellini with a thoughtful combination of ingredients and well decorated . The german beer served with cheese makes it special. The waitress is endearing. We had a great time and recommend it to everyone who visits the area.
The food was incredible! We got the seafood pasta - the pasta was handmade with an incredible creamy seafood sauce. The fish of the day was cooked to perfection. The caprese salad was innovative and I quite literally cleaned the plate. The chocolate mousse was a great way to end the meal.
Delicious food in a charming setting! Note as of July 2024, they only accept reservations over the phone or in person. My friend managed to call in and get us a reservation for a late Sunday lunch at 2pm. The three of us decided to split the stone fruit salad, Parisian gnocchi, summer truffle pizza, and a half bottle of the 2023 Triennes Rose. The rose was light and fruity and paired very nicely with the salad. I really enjoyed the burrata, nectarine, and peaches in the salad, a fantastic combo! The gnocchi had a rich cheese sauce that was delicious as well, but the truffle pizza was the real star of the show. A nice thin crust pizza with delicious truffle flavor! Highly recommend if you're in the Carmel area
Rustic European bistro with two cozy tight dining sections. Food was mainly French and Italian inspired with an informal and casual menu that is translated from local products. Items are wonderfully presented and authentic in taste with ample serving sizes worth sharing. Pizza is touted as the best in the area but is not available during breakfast times. Service is a bit rushed and hectic as the place is commonly busy especially during brunch times. The layout is very tight especially with the dark decor and impressive oven and open semi open kitchen area. A nice place for small groups and families as well as dates however it can be a squeeze and not ideal for leisure dining experiences.
A classic must stop when in Carmel-by-the-Sea. It’s adorable and cozy. The food is always fresh, thoughtful and incredibly delicious. Great service. Awesome reserve wine list. Good for casual & relaxed, or a date night. Don’t forget the Affogato! Highly recommend.
I’m not really a pizza lover but I’ve been heard this place was great, so why not to try it when I was in Camel.
Pizza 🍕was good, but not very good. I ordered their mussels because it’s hard to find a good mussel in SF. The mussels were delicious, the sauce was a highlight. It was a bit expensive and totally worth it.
