One of Cape Town's best breakfast spots. The tranquil serenity under the massive trees, makes Gardener's Cottage virtually unique in the city. Yes, we saw a squirrel.

Expect top grub, personable staff, and a damn decent cup of coffee. I can recommend the veggie breakfast as a real treat.

The food here is sublime, the Eggs Benedict is (in my opinion) the finest in Cape Town. The coffee is also fantastic. Highly recommend

Always an absolute delight to visit the Gardener's Cottage .For breakfast, lunch or just a contemplative pot of tea. Friendly staff , delicious menu and the most beautiful tree imaginable. Often very busy on the weekend with group bookings so make sure to book to avoid disappointment.

A lovely little gem in Newlands. You can walk around to the different stands and buy your fresh produce, get a takeaway coffee, kids small play area, a little cafe for smaller meals and drinks, a bigger restaurant with more variety, a nursery, gallery etc.. apparently in summer you can order a picnic basket. Definitely worth a visit

Amazing vibes and amazing food for the price. Really beautiful piece of nature and just so calm and inviting.

The breakfast options are quite nice. Nothing Vegan or Vegetarian 🌱 it seems, but overall still really good options 🍱

Lovely atmosphere and some nice artworks hanging up all around. Just a sweet place to hang out 😊

Gardener Cottage is a delightful restaurant! We loved our lunch there, and Nikita, the cook, even offered amazing options for the vegans in our group.
The ambiance under the big old trees added to the charming experience.
The salted caramel chocolate tarte was the best one we've ever tasted, and the super friendly staff made our experience even more enjoyable.

A lovely spot for some cake and coffee. The outside area is decently shaded and the chairs are comfortable. The inside area is also quite nice and warm especially for the cold Cape Town days where you just want a warm drink and dessert. I enjoyed both the cake and coffee I ordered on each occassion I visited. They also have a wide variety of cakes to choose from. The staff are all friendly and the service was quick.
