I like this airport because it's big and you can find everything. Also, staff reacts quickly despite the crowd. However, parking has been quite challenging during the summer period as we prepaid for parking it took us more than 30 min. to find a free spot in July and August. It would save us tons of time if fhere were signs showing the available free spots beforehand. Try to put your liquids into plastic bags beforehand, otherwise they may charge you.
Cheap flights. A little bit far to Düsseldorf city centre. Really helpful and kind staff. Everything works quickly and without any problems.
We are still (1,5 hour) our buggy waiting for our child. It is very difficult for the families who travel with families. 2-3 minutes walking distance from parking (p3). It was not overcrowded. Check in, customs etc were very fast
It was a challenge to navigate through the system. But once I did I was able to leave the airport, take Uber and leave for my outside-the-city adventures.

The airport is ok on the outside, the inner area is a bit boring if you have to make a scale for more than 3 hours. However my bad review is for the iberia stand stuff. 17:53 a blond girls has just threaten me with calling the police as she was so rude
to me and I wanted to know her name to report it to the company. I don't feel safe at all in these conditions, please, be aware the stuff in here won't hesitate to threaten you neither treat you badly.

NO PROBLEMS...EVER!
Based on my experience, fortunately I have never had a problem at this airport, with a delayed flight or lost luggage. I think that also depends on whether one is well organized or not. I already know how the airport works well, that's why I go through the security control quickly and I arrive ready at once with the boarding passes in hand, but, above all, I arrive with plenty of time in advance.

This is a great airport situated in a great city. Very convenient to get to from the centre. I took the S11 train from the centre which stops right outside the airport. Very little walking was required from this point. Unlike other larger airports.
The check in was remarkably easy, efficient and quick. Security only took a few minutes and I was free to browes the duty free.
Duty free offered a good selection of alcoholic spirit at around £5 a litre cheaper than in the UK.
There are several cafes and stalls selling over priced tourist tat. A fridge magnet will cost you 6.5 Euros.
The departure gate is very pleasant with a good view of the airfield.
