Still one of the best hotels ever. Elegance, history and class exudes from this magnificent property. A lot has changed since the change in ownership but service is still stellar. Lots of changes in the restaurants but the food is still top notch. Tea service is excellent. Lots of lovely pastries!
It’s a beautiful hotel in a great location but it’s losing its touch in the small things. The concierge staff needs an updated list of restaurants to recommend, they sent us to one that was a tourist trap (probably one of the worst meals I have had in Paris). Service in the restaurants in the hotel takes forever. checkout desk manager he was very rude and abrupt. I was asking him what the employee fund of 100 Euro x night was (first time I have ever seen it in any hotel in Paris) and he kept just answering “tax - now how do you want to pay”. Seemed to me like the wanted to avoid the question. Room was upgraded which was a plus but our view was directly into a wall. Shower in our room was a disaster to get in and out of. George V is definitely superior at these prices.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Plaza Athénee. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable (Thank you both Julia's and all of your team).
Due to some extreme personal circumstances, the staff prepared our complimentary room upgrade early. The breakfast was delicious and the burger, divine. The Harpist in the cafe was the perfect Parisian soundtrack.
Of all the luxury collections in the world, this was truly a stand out experience. Highly recommend and can't wait to be back. Thank you for welcoming us so warmly.

This iconic luxury palace hotel offers the ultimate in classic French luxury, and a stay here is one to treasure.
Located on the best shopping street in the world, it sits opposite the Parisian Christian Dior store, and the hotel is home to the extraordinary Dior spa.
Suites are spacious, superbly furnished and rich in colour, decor and fabrics. Every suite is different and many have Eiffel Tower Views.
The resident Chef Jean Imbert serves the best of French Cuisine and a 10 metre long shared marble table sits in the middle of the dining room.
A highlight is high tea or even simply a hot chocolate in the hotel’s lobby area, where some of the most glamorous people hang out.
The hotel’s Amber fragrance is rich and indulgent, like everything about this hotel.
The bar is packed with glamorous people every night of the week, and the concierge ensure every aspect of your stay is simply flawless.
The inner courtyard in summer is simply magnificent and is adorned with the hotel’s signature red window blinds.
Book in for as long as you can. Stunning.

The Plaza Athenee is a Paris landmark and a bastion of luxury. The opulence of the rather small but lively lobby and hotel corridors is captivating. The service is quick and professional especially when delivering laundry and food; which provides guests with complete comfort and convenience. The breakfast at the hotel restaurant is a quintessential Parisian experience at its finest with gold panel ceilings and an assortment of croissants and pastries served exquisitely in a silver tray. The views are spectacular and breath-taking. Rooms on the upper floors tend to be on the smaller side, and are decorated differently. In general, I would like to thank the Plaza Athenee for their hospitality.
Beautiful place , on 3 place for hotels in Paris for me. The inside personal is very nice but the blond woman from outside terrace was rude with me and not polite. The tea and the cake was great. The african waiter made me some nice pictures.
I did Breakfast here for my Birthday.
10/10
Just know its a 5 star Hotel so the service is on point! Lovely staff and their communications is on point as I cancelled 2 times my reservation and they were so polite.

Going to this hotel makes you feel like you're in a movie. The experience starts with the doorman, who approaches the taxi with the perfect smile and hat tip. A team takes care of all your luggage and you're welcomed into a beautiful flower-filled lobby for a quick check in, and then shown to your room by a staff member, who explains how things work. We stayed in the newer section, and the room was elegantly designed and well thought out. There is also no noise, so it ends up being a oasis of peace in a bustling city. Staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. A highlight is breakfast - the hotel has made it part of their reputation, and local people come to this hotel to enjoy it. The setting is beautiful, staff very attentive. The croissants were the best we had in France. We also enjoyed a casual dinner in the gallery just after tea time, and that was a relaxing way to end the day. I really look forward to returning to this hotel, it is possibly the best hotel I've ever been to.
