Had the best hiking experience 💕
This trail is extremely short. I don’t know if it’s because of COVID or what. Took roughly 10 mins to loop with minimal views of the river and no ways to get down to it. I expected this to be a lot longer and with a lot more ways to enjoy or be near the water. The “overlook” has even worse views and is a 10 second walk and loop. I would just tack this on to whatever else you would be hiking too and don’t get your hopes up.
Small but nice for afternoon walk. Be careful!
Nice short trails easy walk for any skill level
Park was closed and will be closed for a while for the hunting season.
Really nice place to go for a hike and disconnect.
It's a great hiking experience for the purpose of hiking only... there's not much to see as far as anything too scenic, but there are many trails that stretch for quite some distance.
You are required to check in and will need to provide some personal information. Whether you're hunting or simply hiking.
It was a true joy during my check in to speak with such a helpful, knowledgeable, and truly friendly parks employee by the name of Lillian Fazio. I found her rather remarkable and you'd be absolutely fortunate to have her host you while checking yourself in for a hike.
Maps are provided and I'd personally suggest you take one while trekking.

If you come to hike make sure you watch hunting season, most of the trails are closed during deer season. The entire refugee will be open for hiking on Sundays during this time though.
