Came here on a Monday so parking wasn't so bad. This spot is further out so it doesn't get as crowded. There is construction going on directly on the beach, so maybe that also helped with the crowd a little.
This place is a great public beach! ⛱️ Rockaway Beach is the perfect spot to relax 😌 and unwind during the hot 🥵 summer 🌞 days! It's super easy to get here from the City 🏙️ using the ferry ⛴️ from Wall 🧱 St. Pier 11 to Rockaway or using the subway 🚇 (S line). The lifeguards 🏊♂️ are very professional and attentive to emergencies 🆘 and the waves 🌊 are great! Make sure to bring water 💦, flipflops 🩴, and your best bathing suit! 👙 I wish I came here more often!
Great play area for children and a lot of lifeguards. Very few people on a weekday afternoon. Some mothers with children in the play area and a few people on the actual beach and a few people cycling or jogging on the promenade. It almost seemed that their were more lifeguards than actual people on the beach.
Too windy for beach day, but my kids were able to enjoy their 45 mins of sun, sand and little splash of sea water.
Beach was closed on B116. Looks like there was some construction, so I had to walk down towards 108 St.
Very quiet and clean but the season hasn't started yet. Definitely coming back to see if the construction is done on 116th St. All I see so far are trailer like bathrooms and a first aid station not yet opened
The weather was perfect. Went with my fiance for his birthday. We met awesome people. It was a great day!!
Beautiful Beach! Very close to the Memorial Park, I was impressed when we reached the beach . We arrived a Saturday and the beach was not packed. The beach was clean, also the board walk and the bathroom too. But always very busy ! Not same before the the COVI” .still have a very nice time!
