Everything was amazing! The views of the pool and river are breathe taking. The live entertainment at swampers was enjoyable Thursday evening.

Swampers restaurant needs supervision. No greeter. Bar staff said, take any table. Only window table was dirty. Timely, pleasant, energetic waitress wiped tables dropping onto the floor. Menu was fine, food arrived timely. Silverware and napkins were several minutes later. Two hot-wing baskets were tasty but dry and probably had been precooked and warming. (Pizza Hut fries wings to order). Two chicken sandwiches had tasty pickles and slaw. The chicken breasts would have made good shoe leather. We actually traveled there for the advertised music. Caught the end of the early set, an earthy, raspy guitar-strummer with a haunting voice. She connected well with her audience. The late set took 45 minutes to start up a guitar, a bass and a harmonica mike. A talented acoustic lead with a good tenor The bassist was clearly tired and decided to sit down, while checking out the decor. The harmonica man should have changed his tee shirt after changing the oil in his car a few hours prior. In 1.5 hours, we saw no manager checking on staff or entertainment. With a hospitality background, I kept checking myself saying, this is a Marriott, right?

Absolutely beautiful. Service was amazing. The spa is great. It is definitely a kid friendly place. My husband and I went there for our Anniversary. We plan to take our whole family next time so our children can have the experience of this place.

Front Desk - excellent, especially Anna Kate. Room had a distinct smell - almost went home Bathroom needed deep clean. Concierge Lounge for Elite members has been closed for last 3 years. Some unknown renovation in progress. Swampers restaurant food was mediocre- worst Reuben ever had. Wait staff was not attentive. Breakfast - food cold at buffet. This property is definitely not up to Marriott standards. It is tied in with the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.

What a great resort! So many touches to honor the areas music history. The restaurants are amazing and the rooms are well appointed. Our family is looking forward to going back again!

This hotel is beautiful, but definitely needs an update. There is dust lining the baseboards, the curtains are damaged in many places either with holes or stains, the grout in the showers are discolored from never being steamed, the carpet is likely as old as the building and those could use an update. The conference center is as bad as the hotel with dirty floors and ripped and stained curtains. Many of the chairs around the pool should probably be tossed because of rust. The hard metal chairs on the balconies are useless as they are burning hot during the day and terribly uncomfortable.
Positives: some of the nicest staff I've come across. Very accommodating in person and by phone. The conference center staff are top knotch from the chef to the house keepers. This wouldn't be a hotel I would pick, mainly because there is nothing to do outside of the actual hotel, but the staff saved the day on this review.

The view was beautiful. I had requested a high floor and was assigned the 4th floor. I would imagine the view would get better the higher up you are. There was some construction going on out front but that is required to keep the place renewed. The only thing I can say that I did not like was the scent of the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash that is provided in the shower. With only one night stay, I did not get to experience all that was offered. I would definitely stay again if in the area.

We have stayed at this hotel at least 35 times and have never had a problem except for finding parking. This time as usual , we go to visit our grandkids and they always come to the pool to swim during the day and we have never had a problem but this time they had a limit on how many can be in the pool area (4). It was a night where it wasn't even crowded and they would not allow us to all be in the pool area at the same time. The kids (3) were the only ones that were swimming. The rest of us were just watching and keeping an eye on them. We usually always eat at the hotel because if you leave then it is hard to find parking when you come back at night so we have spent a lot of money at this hotel but we will never go back again. Be ware if you have family wanting to visit you while you are there. No, they were not staying in the hotel but just visiting us. Also, the parking is always an issue!!
