Just returned from our vacation. Casa Blanca was a pretty cool looking hotel. Great pictures and decorations. It was a smaller hotel but in a great location. We were near everything. The staff were super nice and helpful. We really liked Luna at the front desk. She was always smiley and just pretty cool to talk too, very helpful. They did not have a pool, but the stone tubs on the roof top were a fun experience and view up their was pretty nice. The only complaint that I have is the bathroom door in our room. The door had this plastic panel in the middle that was a slight tint to it but you could see directly into the bathroom but in the bathroom you could not see out. So I don't know if ours was put in backwards or this is how they all are but I like my privacy so we hung our sarong over it to try to cover it up. But other than that we would say here again.

We recently stayed here for two nights during a trip to Puerto Rico. The whole decor is based on Casablanca style, and there's a loop of the Casablanca movie playing in the lobby! The rooms were super clean and spacious enough. The hallways are pretty echo-y so when a couple of girls arrived at their hotel at 2AM, their noise woke us up. The television was exceedingly difficult to work and when we couldn't get it to turn on we asked the front desk to sent someone to our room while we were out to fix it. They did, it turned on, but we left for dinner and when we returned it would no longer work. Not a deal breaker - we just wanted some noise while we had a nightcap before bed. The breakfast/brunch restaurant in the lobby is pretty small so it only accommodates a few people at a time; we went on our first morning, which was a Friday, and they didn't have any eggs (which is about half their menu). The hotel was very conveniently located to anything you would want to see in San Juan as well as restaurants and shopping - all walkable. Would definitely recommend this place.

CasaBlanca has a great location and a great atmosphere. Perfect for walking around old town since it's in the middle of it all. They have two different rooftop areas, one with large stone tubs to watch the sunset and the other with three hot tubs all at different temperatures. Breakfast at the restaurant was good, they also have a small bar up there too. Mimosa's were 2 for $10!

The only criticism I have is the late night hotel . It was hard to get anything from the front desk when we needed it.

The hotel and lobby are clean, charming, and welcoming; nice and cool to welcome you in from the heat. The Middle East/ Moroccan influence is definitely apparent in the lobby. The elevator is a bit slow? And there’s only one. The stone tubs on the rooftop definitely looked lovely. We had a single queen with a balcony. The balcony is small but enough room for a bistro table. The whole space is small. There are definitely little quirks in the bathroom and sometimes the a/c barely helped since it couldn’t go below 17C. The key takeaway from staying at this hotel is the charm, decor, and location. Would consider staying here again if going to Viejo San Juan.

Pros: great location, artsy interior, good food in dining area, cool rooftops
Cons: lounge and bar closed Sunday and Monday, no telephone in room to call down to front desk, rooms are very small with no window, no outlet in bathroom , no place to put your toiletries , no place to set your suitcases . Our air conditioning unit went out. They switched us to a new room ( a very nice , larger room) but very limited space to set up your bathroom items, my allergies flaired up big time in this hotel.

This hotel is in a fantastic location, within walking distance of restaurants, bars, shops and the ocean.

We felt deceived about the rooms as the pictures post make the rooms appear much larger than they are and all of the pictures show windows and natural light, when our room only had windows opening up to the hallway.

The hotel has a cool feel to it and is well decorated, but lacking attention to detail and feels unpolished.

There was a musty smell to the room and we noticed that our clothes smelled of this when we left the hotel, but also realize that this is an older hotel and it's possible that this is typical of hotels in this area.

Beautiful hotel with a fairly decent price for the area. We had a 2 bedroom suite that had a little balcony over looking the street below. The room was clean and crisp. The hotel had a lot of character. They had two rooftop areas, one with 3 hot tubs and one with 4 tubs--to be honest not sure about what the tubs were all about but either way was super cool! We didn't try the on property bar, but did have breakfast and it was very good, large quantities for a decent price for the area.
The service was great! We arrived before check in and they stored our bags for us. We left the hotel at 5 a.m. for our flight and after we got to the airport found out our flight was delayed 7 hours! I called the hotel and they graciously let us come back to our room and take a nap until check out at 11. It worked out great.
The only "cons" really were the air conditioning was hard to get to a comfortable spot..either way too cold or not cold enough and there wasn't much room to store your things if you were staying long term. We were only there one night and didn't even unpack our suitcases.
I highly recommend Casablanca Hotel for your Old San Juan stay!
