Free parking. Next to Mahabodhi temple. Nice place to walk and relax.. Not much to see other than British jails. One time visit is fine

Though I have travelled by this location several times, I have never inside it. It is free to enter and provides a peaceful atmosphere. There is also a playground for kids and plenty of trees. This is a must-see attraction in Bangalore. It's such a large area, and you can see all of the different blocks related to Jail... The environment is well-kept. However, there is still more to be done to attract tourists.

Freedom Park in Bangalore is a historical landmark with a poignant past as a central prison. It offers green spaces for relaxation and hosts cultural events. The park's restoration is noteworthy, but some areas may benefit from further development.

Though I am living in Bangalore since 12 years never knew about this place. Recently I visited. This place is a must visit in Bangalore. It's such a vast place you need at least 3hours to view the entire monuments... The place is neatly maintained even though few other steps are required to attract the people....

The entry is free and it has quite environment. There is also park for children inside and lots of tree. It has essence of history too which is very good to see and know. There was security inside the park too when I visited which felt good and safe . The park was quite good. You should spend some time here if you love silence.

Beautiful place in the middle of busy Bangalore, but very few visitors. This is an excellent place for history lovers. The central jail with a lot of background to it. Built in 1857 so definitely a lot of freedom fighters have been put inside here. The only thing we miss is the information inside. But it’s great for elders and children to walk around in a leisurely environment. Ample parking is available which is a great thing.

Freedom Park was formerly the Central Prison in Bangalore. Now it has been converted into a heritage site, with a walking track, open gym and play area for children. The barracks, prison, watch tower etc have been preserved for viewing. Stone benches encircle the watch tower.

The space has been developed and maintained well. Security staff is present and are very alert.

Free parking available. There is no entry fee. Good for a morning or evening walk. Check timings before you plan a visit.
