Such a peaceful beautiful place to walk around. My friend and I took about 1 1/2 hours to tour the whole lower terrace and visit the museum gift shop. It’s very steep in some place but they do have handicap accessibility.

Beautiful and calm since I had the privilege of viewing while it was closed to the public.

The Japanese Friendship Garden is within Balboa Park and has a very elegant, simple and serene design.
The garden has a lot of water streams with cross bridges and a beautiful koi pond at the end.
The garden hosts exhibits and was hosting Yoichi Nakama's series Keshiki- Light, Air , Fluctuation. The paintings were quite mersmerising and as an experience took me to another plane.
The garden in whole was a very pacifying experience.

This place is a gem. Excellent cocktails and wide variety of them. Very cool decor in the style of a ship's cargo hold. Gets very crowded on weekends, so go before 7, or on a weekday, otherwise you'll have to stay in line.

Very nice place to hold any kind of party. Could use stairs from upper garden to lower garden. The food was exquisite for the wedding attended. The staff may have needed a bit of extra planning when it came to timing of the schedule. Not sure if that pertains to venue. The security was on top of their posts as well. Well mannered

They had an art installation in this place when we came through here called 50 artists 50 fish. It was exactly what it sounds like, 50 different artists' interpretation of fish. I've posted some pictures of it here. It's a nice serene walk through the pathway to get here punctuated by the sound of flowing water along the stream. Part of the path was under construction but i don't feel that detracted too much from the experience
