Beautiful. Great picnic area. Very nice softball fields. Large tennis courts, 8 nets.
Great park and well maintained ball fields. The concession stand by ball field #2 is awesome. Has almost anything you could need. Cheeseburger, hotdogs, nachos etc.

The only thing here are 4 baseball fields and tennis courts. The children play area is really old and a walking trail, is not a really worth going to. They should get rid of one of the fields a make a soccer/ football field. They should also have a dog park or a better walking trail. There are barely or no people at all here. Only busy when baseball is in season.
Usually a quiet place to hang out on the ball fields or play on the playground. There’s also a section of greenway to walk on. Facilities are usually not open so no bathrooms unless a game is happening.
Went by today, 11-7- 2020, to pick up some firewood as part of a Gastonia City project. Lots of people there in the park. It was nice to see a bunch of kids playing baseball on the fields and enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. Went to the area to get the firewood and a very nice lady explain the process took the payment. There was some friendly gentleman who loaded the wood. Overall it was a very nice experience, I highly recommend it.
The ball fields are in very good shape. I like the way it's laid out. Got bathrooms clean. The lights are nice and bright. Light car with sorta out by itself but pretty close to everything. My grandson is playing baseball and they use that as a practice facility.
Tennis courts surface were ok to play on but the design to watch kids play and bathroom facility (port of john)were awful.
