Peaceful
This property, very sadly, doesn't seem to be as loved as it used to be. Restorations are needed on the exterior and even basic grounds maintenance. Nonetheless the flowers from seasons ago have come up and are gorgeous even among all the weeds. Hopeful. Could be so charming.
We had a great tour of the house! The ladies were very knowledgeable. I brought my parents from the Netherlands and they specifically looked up some stuff to tell us how some things in the house were tied to the Netherlands.

Tried to visit around 1:15 today, a Tuesday. The lights were on in the house but both doors were locked and nobody answered the bell. I even checked twice to make sure I wasn't mistaken; that perhaps I'd arrived later than I thought or on the wrong day, but no—it was just shut up. Although there are a preponderance of old houses in this area, I was a little bit looking forward to seeing this one. It was very disappointing to arrive at a locked up house, especially after reading the positive experiences other visitors have had.
