Not the place to go unless you are into drugs adult entertainment and an owner who supports what's obviously not legal.

It was an alright motel for the price. It was right across the street from a really cool Tiki bar which was a huge plus. And it was about a 10-15 min walk from another street that had a bunch of restaurants and bars in a nice area and that was really cool. A couple things about the room though that were not the greatest. When I started to run the water for the shower, it was a brown color. Wouldn't go away unless I turned it off and then back on again to cold water and then rotate to hot. This was super weird. The bathtub/shower is really cramped. You will likely hit your elbows on the wall while washing. The toilet was awkwardly close to the wall in front of it. If you are a tall or overweight person, it's highly unlikely you will not fit. If you bend forward you hit your head on the wall. It so cramped and strange. Also the outlet in the desk I had did not work.

Not gonna lie - Portland can be a tough town, the drug and homeless crises are awful, and I wasn’t getting the best vibe from the city. That all changed when I got to the Economy. A friendly greeting, immaculate simple room, and the grounds are spotless. This is how you run a business! Well done, Economy Motel people. This place is a gem.

Phil was great and even offered to help even though I didn't need it. Rooms were clean and well kept. Had wifi , TV, and a fridge.

Great value for your dollar!! Wifi, parking(!), big bed, nice TV, fridge, microwave, and nice shower all for no additional fees. The deposit is extremely reasonable (no smoking inside, no pets) and the owner is very, very nice and considerate.
The motel is one bus ride away from downtown Portland, and across the street from the Alibi, which is a nice place for adults that is open until 2 AM.
Honestly, this motel is a steal. Highly recommend!

My friend and I came in from out of town and got in to pdx super late - the staff was so accommodating to our super late night check-in, the price for the room was great, the accommodations are modest, cozy, and comfortable. Super walkable to some really cool cafes and shops. I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you again to the staff for being so great.

Honestly, times had been tough and my girlfriend and I had been staying at motels. We stopped at this motel and the first thing that impressed me was that the hotel rates beat the best rate on google which is the first time that’s happened. Next, we walked in the room and it was thoroughly cleaned. Normally hotels in this price range had given off a questionable vibe on cleanliness but not here at all. The next thing that impressed me is I noticed the guy running the front desk was also cleaning. I called about weekly rates and he said they don’t do weekly rates but he would do a five day rate that was very good. We decided just to stay one more night and he said our room was already booked but he would clean another room and we wouldn’t have to check out and back in but could just move rooms. Seriously, when it comes to value, location, cleanliness, and customer service, this place absolutely surprised me compared to the similar motels you see and just the Portland area in general. Would recommend
