Well as a tourist I was treated horribly bad there. I was asked to find empty place by myself. They changed my order and they added dessert without me ordering that. This restaurant was recommended to me to taste local foods of south Germany. But that was a bad experience. :(
I recently dined at this restaurant, and I must say, the location was fantastic - a great spot for a meal. The atmosphere was inviting, creating a pleasant dining experience. The service was also top-notch, attentive and friendly.
However, I was a bit disappointed with the wiener schnitzel. It didn't quite meet my expectations; the flavor was lacking. I opted for the rosmarinkartoffel as a side, but they arrived cold and tasteless, which was a letdown. Despite this, I appreciate the effort put into making the overall experience enjoyable.

Popular by the locals. Very friendly service. The food was delicious! Every dish has been excellent. Also, beer. German beer! I look forward to returning to try more of their dishes.
A lovely, peaceful typical Deutsch bier Garten. The afternoon breezes were wundebar, we could have spent the afternoon there. The food was good, not spectacular, just plain good. The bier was cold & delicious. The service was efficient & the server was friendly. I shall return.

If you want taste Bavarian kitchen and traditional beers this is one of the right place in Munich. It is located really close to English Garden and underground metro station. Friendly staff and fast service. Good value for money compared to size of dishes.
Situated right next to the English garden, Osterwaldgarten has the perfect location for hot summer days. Their outdoor seating is in the cooling shade of big trees and due to their corner location, hardly any traffic passes by.
Their menu comprises of typical, hearty Bavarian dishes, predominantly meat dishes, which might be a bit limiting if you prefer something lighter or vegetarian. One of their signature dishes, the duck with blue cabbage and potatoes dumplings, was delicious and tender. It was a pity that their pulled pork was extremely salty, too salty to finish.
The service was quick and efficient, however not particularly friendly. Further, the prices were on the higher end and it is not nice that restaurant guest feel obliged to pay for the toilet.

Loving the Osterwaldgarten for a long time now! Such delicious typically Bavarian food in a just lovely traditional atmosphere/style. Regardless of for sitting outside or inside - just perfect! They have seasonal Bavarian specials that are a must to try out. Nice attentive staff too. Highly recommend!
Make sure to have a Kaiserschmarren here ❤️ And also rather make a reservation - especially in the summer.
