A historic and beautiful fort with great architecture and amazing to look at when the sunlight falls on it. The place holds amazing history and interesting stories are there at every corner of the fort.

From the parking, you can walk upto the fort which is a steep climb but it is fast during rush hour. We used Jeep costing Rs 700 (Rs500 only for fort + Rs 200 extra for Elephant farm). Our jeep got stuck in traffic for 1hr on the way to fort.

A guide is preferred to understand the history and stories within the fort. The guide charges are Rs 400. But yes, they will make you run. So, if you are photo freak and spends time clicking pictures, avoid a guide.

Amber Palace is another major attraction in Jaipur. The entry fee is 52 rupees for Indian citizens, and it is recommended to enlist the help of a government-approved guide to learn about the palace's history. The palace is situated atop a hill, requiring a 10-minute climb to reach the palace courtyard.

Amber Palace in Jaipur is nothing short of a mesmerizing journey through time and royalty.
This architectural marvel took 3 generations and years of work to build. A unesco world heritage site, Amer Fort is a must visit when in Jaipur. The place is crowded on weekends and festive holiday times. A guide can provide you a better insight about the Fort. The size of the Fort itself speaks for it.

I absolutely adored this place. The architecture is noteworthy. I definitely recommend visiting. The view from here is also very beautiful. There are many spots for taking good pictures along with many traditional goods being sold on the way to the palace at reasonable prices. There are many shops even inside the palace. I liked Sheesh mahal the most.
The only problem here is parking your vehicle and getting rid of guides and Jeep service people. They will try to convince you that it is easier if you take a jeep but it truly depends on you. It is pretty easy to travel on foot.

Amber Palace is a testament to the grandeur and architectural brilliance of India's rich history. The panoramic views of Maota Lake from the palace ramparts add to the overall enchantment. For those seeking a captivating blend of history, architecture, and natural beauty, a visit to Amber Palace is an enriching experience that lingers long after you've left its regal gates.

Such a nice and beautiful fort with lots of history. The fort was made in such a perfect way that you can't imagine. This is a must visit place in Jaipur. Before going to the fort please watch some YouTube videos about the history of the fort or take guide who will explain all about the fort.
It takes about 2-3 hours to cover the entire fort but it's worth spending time there. There is a secret tunnel that joins Amer fort to Jaigarh fort but its open till 4 pm. I would suggest you to go around 1pm if you want to explore the fort completely.
✓ Bargain with the local guides it costs you around 200/-
✓ Tickets per head was around 100/-

One of the best place in Jaipur... I just loved the place... I saw so many foreigners there.. I talked to one of them. He was from England.. They were spellbound seeing the beauty. He commented: We got more than we expected...🌄 It shows how wanderful the place is...

Fantastic place with so much history. Make sure to get a guide (400 or so rupees) to really learn what this beautiful place was all about. Massive palace sitting on the mountain in the middle of a jungle. Such a wonder how these structures were built so long ago and are still standing so sturdy today. The sun and water palace is amazing.

A historical palace and a must visit fort in Jaipur. This fort will take around 2-3 hours to visit entirely. The interiors of the fort are mesmerizing. If you take the guide, they will explain all the history of the palace, which is very interesting. There is a cave from within the palace that goes to Jaigarh fort, but it closes at 4. The fort looks even better in the evening when the lighting starts.

You can either walk up the stairs to reach the palace, or take a jeep (Rs. 500 per jeep for up and down) or take your own car to the top where there is parking space available.

There is also a light and sound show that tells the history of the fort's construction and expansion. The entrance of the light and sound show is at a different place outside the palace. You can take your own car to the light and sound show place, won't recommend taking the auto or jeep from the parking for this.

Loved the place because of its greatness and beauty. You can see the wall on the hill looking like the Great Wall.
The palace has great architecture, filled with marks of time.
However all the chambers were empty, maybe you can find what were inside at the UK National museum.

The smell was bad, brace yourself when visiting here!
