Super easy to get on and off. Nice fairy ride over to Washington Island.

Great ferry ride to Rock Island! The smaller only pedestrian ferry and cheaper; highly recommend taking the opportunity to see Rock Island and enjoy the beautiful views, sandy beach and great hiking! If you are up for it, go camping

This smaller, pedestrian only (no cars) ferry will take you to rock island state park.

If you only want to day-trip visit the island, we highly recommend taking the first ferry of the morning out to allow you plenty of time to hike to the lighthouse, take the tour, hike back and make it back to Washington Island with plenty of time to spare.

Memorize the ferry schedule or at least know the time of the absolute last one out.

We enjoyed the lift - pleasant crew and lovely experience.

Weather didn't work out. Ferry was taking only camping people. Even pictures look sunny, waves were up to sky! Very choppy. Price for a ferry $11. I think cash only.

I'm glad that this service exists. The different crew members are always nice and helpful to people loading in their camping gear. Remember, if you are using your cell phone to keep track of time, that on rock island you often connect to cell towers in michigan and then that will make you think it's an hour later than it really is.

Cool ferry! Don’t forget to get your ticket ahead of time at the car ferry terminal. They do not sell them at Jackson Harbor.

Short, smooth ride to the island. Just make sure you know ferry schedule otherwise if you miss one you need to wait for an hour for the next one.

The staff was incredibly helpful in getting our gear on and off the ferry, and helping us check in to the campsites. The ride itself is an easy 10-15 minute cruise from Washington Island to Rock Island.
