Belfast Free Walking Tour

My friend and I did the tour with Robbie last Saturday, and it was superb! He was really knowledgable and made the entire tour a lot of fun. It was so interesting, and I thoroughly recommend booking this! The time flew by, and Robbie was more than happy to answer questions. It did rain a wee bit, but that didn’t dampen our spirits! The best craic dealer in town!

Highly recommend this walking tour. I have done several in various European cities and this was by far the best! Barbara is an excellent tour guide. Her enthusiasm for a city where she was born and has lived all her life was apparent from the start. I learnt so much in the 2 hours, and particularly loved Barbara’s personal anecdotes. Barbara talks clearly and knowledgeably about the history of the city up to current day, and tells a great story. Take this tour!

I absolutely loved the Belfast free walking tour with Barbara. She is one of the best guides I have had- she speaks clearly and loudly, she is super engaging and charismatic and her own personal anecdotes throughout the tour really added to and improved my entire experience. I feel like I learnt so much and really got to know Belfast and its complex history better. Would 100% recommend to everyone (especially with Barbara!!)

Fabulous tour with Barbara. Great guide showing the best sights Belfast has to see. 2 hour tour which was the perfect length.

I always look up free walking tours when I travel to a new European city, this was no exception. Brian W. was a great tour guide and storyteller. The headphones and receiver were a great idea as many of the areas we traveled to were quite loud and we could still hear him clearly. This tour only goes through a small area of Belfast focused on downtown area. So, it is not a ton of walking but more listening.

Dave was an absolutely excellent guide. A very informative tour that gave us a lot of insights into the history of Belfast. Dave's connection to the city also provided very good context. One of the best tours I've had.

It was a mixture of feelings:

Was good:
- Headset included for all group members. Very good and it was first time I had it in a walking tour.
- The guide explained the current situation of Belfast and Northern Ireland very well (considering his point of view)

Was not good:
- Long stops. Sometimes we stayed in the same place for 20min listening the guide. Although the story could be interesting, it is too long. I recommend to talk while walking or cut the story in small parts and do more short stops.
- I was with 2 young kids and the guide did not care. He crossed the roads in red pedestrian and did not wait for us. In the last part of the tour he walked straight for 15min and we just lost him and the group. I did many others walking tours and it did not happened before.

As I could not find the guide and the group anymore, I could not return the headsets. Feel free to contact me and I can send the headsets back by mail.
