Fun, challenging course - my favorite county track. Great 9 holes for walking. Always in good shape, always firm fairways and greens. Every hole is different: numbers 2, 4, 8 and 9 are excellent golf holes - par is well earned on those holes. Staff is friendly and I always enjoy the players with whom I’m paired.
I am a Senior golfer who has played Orchard for over 20 years. It is a “gem” of a 9 hole course. Although short, it is quite challenging and is the best maintained course in the County. From management, office staff and greens keepers, I have found everyone to be very friendly. One suggestion would be better attention to slow golfers by the limited staff of rangers.
I would have give it a 5 but this year they cut the par 4 6th to a par 3. This was done unilaterally by the county because one home owner complained about balls going in to their yard. This apparently was a false claim and the county is punishing us golfers. Plus destroying the fairway.
Great 9 hole course if you live in Bergen County.
Without a doubt this golf course has the rudest people working there. The county should be utterly ashamed and embarrassed at how these workers treat some golfers. Maybe because we are not "regulars" but we were spoken to very rude on multiple occasions. I don't care if it was free, I will never golf here again.
Beautiful time of the year to golf. However, just need to find my darn ball under all those leaves...This course has been in great shape all CY22. Good job grounds team.
Not a bad course, greens and fairways maintained really well for a country course with all the constant play. Good flow and the staff was very nice. Only negative comment I would say is the "clubhouse" or "check-in shack". It's literally a mobile trailer and a ShopRite bathroom has more character. Common Bergen County with all the taxes, can't you update a proper facility and cart garage? What a disgrace.
Great 9 hole county course. Very well kept and plays nicely; it can be a slow round sometimes due to bottlenecks in par 3 holes. It’s sometimes difficult to find tee times, so it can get a bit crowded. It best to play early morning if possible when you can play at a good pace.
