Beautiful restaurant next to the water. This restaurant has one of the best views of NEW York. We went on a Thursday so they had really nice live music, which made the night super enjoyable. I like that they have the option of ordering a small or regular size pasta plate. Really recommend the scallops, it was our favorite dish.

Was a very good meal, pasta was a little undercooked but the pork chop was delicious, and the grilled shrimp stole the show. I would recommend coming here, the view of the city is nice, inside is cozy.

Beautiful place with delicious food and 5star service. I was just by myself, needed a table for one and did not have any reservation. Usually other restaurants would have seated me at the bar. But my host(unfortunately I don’t remember his name) gave me a seat with one of the best views overlooking the skyline! My server recommended me a seafood Cioppino and it tasted so good! Impressed with the food, service and view!

What a beautiful restaurant with breathtaking views and outstanding service. From moment we checked in and got seated, we knew we were in for a treat. Especially our server Tammy was just amazing, didn’t rush us at all and her recommendations were spot on.
Started with the Iceberg Salad, which was simply delicious.
For the main courses we had PAN ROASTED HALF CHICKEN, very filling and rich and then the MEDITERRANEAN BRANZINO, very soft and dripping with flavors.
Definitely a place for a special occasion or for a nice meal with loved ones.

The best way I can describe Battello is "PERFECT".
From the moment my husband and I met with Dominique at Battello we knew we had found the place we would want to celebrate our marriage. We loved the idea that our wedding would feel like a big party yet also an intimate dinner party. The venue design, backdrop and natural lighting of the venue were definitely an added bonus.
Being an Event designer and planner, I wanted to make sure our venue aligned with what I strive to get for my clients... Impeccable service, delicious food, stunning location and I can honestly say that Battello was all of that and more.
Before the wedding we came into Battello for dinner with friends, family and even a few date nights and every time we felt so welcomed by the entire team. Tammy specifically came out of her way to say hi every single time.
Dominique, the event coordinator is an angel! She was so helpful and open from the start. It was so important to me to have a great relationship with our coordinator as I know how important her role plays in the overall event. We could not have imagined how seamless the experience would be with Dominique. No matter the question, she always replied quickly and with helpful information. I will miss working with her!
Tammy, our bridal attendant was amazing and the most helpful! I have personally worked at so many venues and I have never seen a more accommodating bridal attendant. Every time I turned; she was there with a smile on her face happy to help with whatever we needed. She bustled my dress in minutes and help me remove my vail without misplacing a single hair.
We got married this past August and we have not stopped hearing how “this was the best wedding we have every been to”. Guests of all ages have been raving about how insane the cocktail hour was, how amazing the service was and how beautiful the location is. The attention to detail from the entire Battello team is something you will not find anywhere else. There was not an ounce of stress on us knowing that we had Battello’s team handling our wedding day.
I will be telling everyone I know to get married at Battello, just so we can celebrate there again. We are looking forward to going back to Battello with our family, friend and future family.

Great service and atmosphere. The menu has changed since I last came. With some welcomed additions (such as their marinated oysters) and some items that will be missed (such as their exquisite crab cakes).

Not so much fan of their food but the place and service was amazing.
Went there for our 8 year anniversary and they offered us complimentary drinks.
Such a nice gesture.
Overall amazing place. TAMY served us and was honestly the best servant.

A truly great place for dinner with interesting cocktails, a stunning view, and some of the best seafood you can have. The smoked trout was incredible - a deep, authentic wood smoke that provided the impact of a smoked dish without being overwhelming. Probably the best smoked item I've had anywhere.

The octopus appetizer was done to perfection as well - the most tender I recall having. Oysters were great, too!

All of that and a world class view? Worth every penny.

Amazing experience with the food and the service. My only complaint is the $8 bottled water that we didn’t know was that price prior to ordering it and getting the ticket. Overall, they get a 5/5 from me!

The views are great, and the waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu and able to provide recommendations! The Branzino was cooked to absolute perfection with a little crisp. The crab cake in the sandwich was well seasoned and so fluffy!

Here’s what we ordered from the lunch menu:
- Frozen Drink of the day (Blackberry/Gin Frosé)
- Roellin’ on the River
- Crabby Patty with herbed parmigiano fries
- Mediterranean Branzino

The best thing about this place is the view and vibe. And the food and drinks make it even more a pleasant experience. The strawberry basil cocktail was great for a summer noon drink. The chicken lavish wrap was plentiful and flavorful, highly recommend it.

Definitely visit for the vibes, lovely view of the city skyline & the bar service was awesome! The scallops were good, but the pork chop wasn’t that tasty unfortunately. The lobster ravioli was quite a small portion. The braised octopus appetizer was decent enough. The best thing was the blackforest cake dessert which was divine.

Battello, you beauty! My husband and I always looked at the pretty restaurant right by the river whenever we visited Newport. On my husband's birthday, we decided to finally visit this place and it certainly lived up to our expectations! We ordered the kale hazelnut salad, half chicken and the eggplant entree. The food was tasty, each dish better than the other. The drinks were strong and unique.. we each tasted 2 cocktails and they were all great. The live music was beautiful and set the atmosphere for us. Prior reservation is definitely recommended, especially on weekend nights! There are many parking spots right outside the restaurant but we used the path train and it was a short walk to Battello. Even though it was expensive, this restaurant was worth the visit for our special occasion!
