We visited here on October and it was free entrance that time. It’s a small fort but it’s really nice. Worth a visit.

Always great being here. But but but They need more tour guides, souviners shops, toilets, cafe and more taken care of. Staff are rude, the place and surrounding is dirty. I cant believe that a place under UNRSCO is deserted like this

The Zubara Fort holds a lot of history attached to it. The exhibits inside the few rooms there will take you through over 3 centuries of history connected with the Fort. We can have a first-hand experience of the arab architectural beauty, noteworthy is the way in which the ventilation holes are seen positioned on the walls of the tower in such a way that wind coming from any direction is driven into the fort and one can feel the cool breeze in the tower. The iconic cannon placed outside gives the Fort a nice look in the photos, and I felt more care should be given to preserve the cannon.

Nice place, interesting history especialy related to the archeological site nearby. Good place to visit.

Reached by car, parking is available opposite to the fort.

Being a photographer/videographer i liked the place even-though it is not full of places to discover, there is no services around the area as well so if you are planning to stay ling time be prepared with food and beverages.

Visiting by sunrise / sunset would add much to the overall experience of the trip.

Learning about the fort before arriving really pays off, it was built in 1938 by Sheikh Abdullah bin Jassim al Thani, it was used as a coast guard station.

No ticket is required.

This is my second visit to the fort. The first time I went was before Covid. It was nice to see that the upper floors of the fort are now open. It was also great that access to the archaeological site is open. Note that you may not be able to take your car to the site, but there is a bus and a guide to give you the history of the area. Thanks, Ahmad😊. Just speak to staff at the fort to arrange a visit to the archaeological site.

The fort is cool and full of history, but the inside isn’t worth the time. There is not much to see other than a few empty rooms and wall posters with talking points and facts. Also, there is nothing else around the fort to do! Overall, it’s a cool destination to drive too in Qatar. Glad I did it!
