Today (October 6th 2023) I bought tickets and got absolutely terrible experience with the people who worked exactly in the entrance of street across to the Prospect zoo entrance.
First of all they ask me to put in the garbage all the drinks I had. I was shocked, ok I did it.
I was with a 2 year old baby. Next I bought tickets, and started to go the garden area and right away a young African American lady who worked today at the first window ( which closer to the security guard) called me and asked me to put on the garbage all the baby food… I stopped and asked again .. she said yes yes, I started to ask why on earth you let my baby be without a food , where is a only one rule that you can feed your baby anytime and any places if you baby is hungry no matter what !
She said No
Are you kidding me ?
I asked to refund me my money and I was so angry that this unbelievable and absolutely disrespectful thing can happened at the garden … this lady is so rude and she has absolutely violated pressure and sarcastic smile at the end saying to me Buy Buy while I was staying and crying and trying to take my money back. She doesn’t deserve that job , I’m sure other people ( two ladies ) who were sitting absolutely in silence like nothing is happening right now and only she was talked to me , she is also took my card and said- we not gonna do a refund , do it yourself…
I’m ok with situation and my drinks but find me a mother who will not be standing for her 2 year old child if she needs a food !
Shame on you, lady!
Shame
The universe has rules on such people.
You are not mother and never will be !
Gotta start bu
Y saying this place exceeded my expectations simply gorgeous plants, landscape and overall scenery, cherry blossoms. Plenty of area to relax. Definitely going back. Highly recommend. Entry price is reasonable too.
Highly recommended botanic garden if you're in Brooklyn area or New York City. A quiet place from the cities hustle and bustle. Great place to go with family, young kids, and elderly people. There is a coffee shop and a cafeteria inside the garden. If you enjoy nature, this is the place to go. Amazing collection of plants from across the globe
Marvelous in April! So many cherry blossoms and tulips.

The indoor rooms are really neat too! The desert and tropical rooms are really cool. There’s an outdoor cafe with a little bit of seating near the tulips and indoor rooms where you can buy food or eat your own food. Lots of people say on grassy lawns for an afternoon picnic too.

I got free tickets through work but you might be able to get free tickets through your library card too. Not a big line for tickets when you get there, maybe like a 5-10 minute wait.
I went in July. I think a lot of the blooms were spent. Not as much color as I expected. Probably the best time is the Spring or early summer and definitely should see the cherry blossoms when they bloom again. Still was really relaxing and healing to be in such a peaceful and beautiful setting. The Rose Garden is lovely.
Such a wonderful place to visit while in Prospect Park/Brooklyn! All the plants and sights one could want, but in one place. Lots of different gardens, activities for kids, and paths/spaces for walking/playing/relaxing. Time is needed to take in each aspect, so plan your time wisely... or just plan to come back again and again for different experiences. Don't miss the bonsai room for my favorite form, the informal upright!
Lovely scenery and the cost is fair. Beautiful Japanese exhibit and nice staff as well. But just super bummed that I was a few weeks late to see the famous cherry blossom there.

Will come visit again!
This is a really stunning botanical garden that pairs well with a visit to the Brooklyn Museum, you can buy a combination museum & garden ticket that gets you into both! I walked through this place fairly quickly and I was still in the gardens for well over an hour, this could be a 2-3 hours visit if you take your time and walk all of the paths. I highly recommend checking out the greenhouses as they have some really great different climate exhibits such as a desert biome, tropical, etc. There are restrooms and food options throughout different parts of the gardens!
Arizona in Brooklyn! Amazing 😍
A beautiful local spot to connect with nature.
A real treat for the eyes and the nose.
It was a beautiful wedding from the ceremony to cocktail hour ( both outside) surrounded by magnificent Japanese peonies blooms to dinner and dancing. It was still bright late into the day, the park was closed for regular visitors, and the ambiance inside The Atrium was beautiful. The food was gourmet, nicely presented. The flower arrangements were very unusual, different at every table. We had a great time. Everybody danced all evening.
Next door parking lot was very convenient.
Beautiful space if people smoking pot stay out of it this week be ac great space for kids to enjoy and learn about nature.
Очень красиво и чисто и приятно провести время
Magnolia plaza and all of the cherry blossoms was just such a great experience. The free guided tour was the “cherry” on top. The guide was very knowledgeable and trickled light humor throughout. Be sure to check the weather because the tour is mostly outdoor.
Beautiful place with lovely flowers growing during the summer, for example tulips, roses, orchids, plus cactus, bamboo and excetera. Also nice place to feed friendly squirrels, plus baseball and socor field.
A nice place for a walk with your dog or to catch some sun. Great views and lovely gardens.
A fun little detour with a variety of informational panels for children. This area has some interactive exhibits that kids will enjoy. In early April the area is a bit bland but should be more lively at some point.
Absolutely recommend during this season, go and enjoy.
Not the herbs I was looking for but nice
First time doing this.... it was ok the food was so so... the alcohol was what stole the show
A small square that is full of magnificent flowering magnolia trees, with a quaint bronze sundial in the middle. The peak flowering season of these trees is in early spring, before the cherry blossoms have reached peak bloom. If you enter the garden in early spring and see no cherry blossoms, this will be a good place to hit up.
A charming English-style garden with marble columns and other architectural decorations tastefully complementing the flowers and trees. The growth varies by season, but in spring the azaleas and cherry blossoms are in bloom and their contrast with the green pines is wonderful to behold.
Located in the Flatbush Ave section of the botanical garden, this region mainly exhibits common fruits, vegetables and herbs that are grown for food.

Aimed more at young children, there are a number of interesting exhibits here that explain composting, insect pollination and other gardening concepts.
This place is ethereal and a must visit. Hiding behind the pond, this is a true gem of a plaza
Seeking peace? Looking for tranquility? Searching for enlightenment?

The Narrows Botanical Gardens, a little piece of paradise located near the narrow waterway separating Brooklyn from Staten Island, comes replete with peaceful ponds, tranquil flower gardens, and even, if you’re lucky, the odd enlightened hippy.
On the well kept grounds of this meditation retreat, the searcher for truth and inner peace, can do so in the company of unafraid squirrels, slow flowing waterfalls, and in the midst of buzzing bees from the nearby Air Bee & Be.
Also of note, make sure to take the time to smell the Hybrid Roses while dancing barefoot in this wonderful park.
Super nice garden
Partie décevante du jardin, pas vraiment fleurie bien que bien entretenue.
Great place to chill at. Maybe even sit on the lawn. Plenty of greenery for some shade if you wish. Only down side is the highway noise (allot at times), and it's not a very large garden (if you wanted it to be big that is then I guess it being small is a negative). Upside: THOSE SUNSETS!!! Beautiful!

Bonus: Just found out there are turtles here too.
小景致。
It's nice
Great place to sit and relax. There is shade from trees around the sides or lots of sun in the grassy center
Charming and Nice Place. There were many red flowers in the garden. Also there were was a cherry tree growing in the area. It's a public space, with developed garden structure, and you can go in it.
