Decent .. was staying at Art inn nearby so went for a late evening dessert. Pleasant. The chocolate cake was amazing and I’m not even a chocolate fan
We enjoyed our dinner here and would definitely come back. It’s a cool little spot that doesn’t feel too touristy. Skip the octopus and the desert. The service was pretty good and the atmosphere in the back room was great.

Amazing spot🔥🫶🏽 food is delicious! Fresh, good quality and good portion dishes! Service is great as well! We got a plate to share and we couldn’t even finish it! Totally worth it!
It was our last night in Lisbon and a huge exclamation point of our trip. I tried to book 4 weeks ago but all sold out. When I called, they were able to give us a spot - and the best kitchen side table. Because our last meal at a Michelin starred restaurant in Athens was not that good, we went for the ala carte menu and ordered all items + desert. What an exquisite visual and pallet experience. Everything was perfect. Kudos to the Alma team 👏👏
We were very excited to try Alma, and it did not disappoint. The service and environment are excellent.
My boyfriend chose the Alma tasting menu while I had the Coast to Coast local seafood-inspired tasting menu. All the food was light and refreshing, Culinary art at the highest level The foie gras was amazing and the highlight of the day.
The presentation was beautiful, thoughtful and mindfully composed.

By far the best food in Lisbon, prices are very reasonable too. Menu is short, dishes are unique like the outstanding shredded oxtail with pear puree.
Very motivated and friendly staff.
The only negative bit is the steep walk to reach it.

The environment is extremely nice, the restaurant itself is very pretty. With our group of friends we tried a lot of things and for every dish the flavors and textures were amazing. Another random detail that I really liked is that inside the restaurant (at least where we were sitting), the phone connection was basically nonexistent, which is a good excuse not to look at the phone. Definitely a place to come back to. Highly suggested!!
Varied dishes, some good but none were exceptional. Enjoyed the ceviche despite slightly chewy fish, sea bream was tasty. Octopus was overcooked and dry, clams on the smaller side. Prices reasonable for the experience. Music was a bit loud though.
Typical portuguese restaurant with a great variety of options. The meat and fish we had were tasty and big portions. Just a bit pricey due to the starters. If you are not a big eater I would say you can be fine with one starter and one main. Not suitable for vegetarians.
The restaurant decoration is so beautiful! The food is so good, the seafood is fresh! 10/10 Highly recommended! The staffs are friendly. This restaurant is highlight of our Lisbon trip :)
One of the best meals my wife and I have had (amidst 44 European countries we have visited thus far)! Restaurant staff was very accommodating in spite of arriving without a reservation just before lunch closing. Beatriz was our exceptional waitress-knowledgeable and charming-with excellent recommendations. Highly recommend the carrot and olive starter (extraordinary flavor and creativity). The Rice from the Atlantic was simply delicious (we ended up splitting this due to how large the plate is). Then we ordered both the Apple & Rhubarb pie and chocolate cake. The photos attached do not do them justice (amazing tastes without being too heavy, and amazing attention-to-detail). Cannot wait to return. Worth every Euro and more!
We were able to make a last minute reservation for our honeymoon. This spot was especially attractive due to the vegetarian courses menu. We went with 6 courses with wine pairing and also opted for the cheese course and some additional wines. The whole experience was incredible from start to finish. We also felt the additional items we ordered were reasonably priced. (Around 25 a glass and 25 for cheese) overall it was a very big splurge for us but will be a highlight from our honeymoon that we will remember for years to come.
Beautiful experience!
One of the few Michelin Star restaurants that are cosy and down-to-earth.
The servers were extremely friendly and helpful, and the food and wine were both excellent!
The portion sizes were perfect and the artistic presentation really draws you in to another world.
Definitely a restaurant to try!

After a long two days of travel to get to Lisbon and then a day of touring, we very much wanted to just stay in the hotel for dinner. Sure glad we did. This restaurant was amazing. In our party of four, everyone had a wonderful meal, with such things as lamb chops, gazpacho, risotto and prawns. Everything was excellent and the service top notch. But what stood out was the octopus. First the octopus carpaccio and then the grilled octopus “a Lagareiro” style. Both octopus dishes were flavorful and tender. Whether staying in the hotel or not, my friends and I can highly recommend this restaurant for a taste of Lisbon.
The food is not good at all, I ordered steak and cod fish cake as a main, we could not finish them. However the octopus salad is great 👍🏽! The sangria would only offer a 1.5l choice which is too much for two persons, very rigid. It would be better if they can allow us to order a glass or two.
This restaurant is perfect. Very elegant. Food is great and the staff is better. The strawberry soup dessert is the best so simple and unique.
My birthday was last Friday, we went to this fabulous restaurant, Jesica and Hugo were our assistants, they were super kind and very professional. Due to my pregnancy my food has to be very well done, when I returned the food and requested that it be cooked further, they were extremely polite and professional, they made no fuss and even took my husband’s plate back so we could eat together, we were very well impressed.
Furthermore, our meal ended with a surprised cake which made my birthday so special, moreover it was on the house🙏
I definitely will go back to Cervejaria Liberdade, because a quality of service and great atmosphere👌
I highly recommend it

Every time we passed by it there was a line of people waiting to be seated so we decided to give it a try. It's a lovely place with good food and amazing and fun staff. We even got drinks from outside the menu which were awesome. Would definitely visit again!
Tuna salad, grilled octopus, and the duck - all were great!
The restaurant has less than 10 tables so I recommend to make a reservation. We were able to reserve a few hours before the dinner on Sunday night. Only indoor seating.
Free wifi and fast service is always a plus! 🙌

Service was nice but slow. The food was good and at a good price. Portions were large. I can recommend.
This spot is smack in the middle of everything, including lots of other restaurants, but it stands out because the folks that run it are quite fun, and the amazing lady that served us had a great sense of humour.
They don’t shove a menu in your face or talk you into taking a seat. Fact is, they’re always busy in the evenings and their food speaks for itself.
The chicken is cooked flawlessly and has a lovely char. Carbonara may not be completely traditional but hey this isn’t Italy and it tastes darn amazing!
Grilled octopus was massive and delicious! Thanks!

Outstanding from food to service and ambiance. I’m a chef and I travel all over the world for this kind of inspiration. Thank you.
The best meal I have ever had. We got the €195 tasting menu. Worth it.
But it was more than just the meal. The whole experience was amazing. The staff were very funny, super professional.
This is a must visit.

Tasty traditional Portuguese food. They don't have an English menu, but one of the waiters who spoke a bit of English helped me as best he could to choose something to eat. Not too expensive either.
Amazing flavors, textures and colors! Flowers and foams - beauty to be consumed! We were delighted at every course - and enjoyed the wine pairings as well! Outstanding service.
I enjoyed learning about classic Portugese dishes in a beautiful presentation. The most memorable dishes were all of the appetizers, the crispy chicken skin & fish surprise dish, and the dessert with almond crust that made the best texture combined with the soft filling in the bottom and tarty sorbet to balance out the sweet flavors. I don’t think I could have ever enjoyed getting the traditional suckling pig dish on my own at a typical Portugese restaurant that comes with fries and other sides, but in here this dish was elevated so cleverly so we can still enjoy all flavors without feeling stuffed. So smart, chef Jose Avillez 👌🏽
Between a group of 3, sharing a bottle of champagne worked out perfectly..because it’s a lot of courses so doing wine tasting might have been too much.
Overall it took us 3.5 hours, so I recommend doing this on a day when you are not in rush.
FYI for team Belcanto:
There was a dish that was a bit too fishy which was strange because we didn’t expect that at a place like this.
The Fish entree had no special memory type of flavors.
The ambiance and decor unfortunately didn’t feel anything special to remember.
I recommend the servers to speak a bit loudly when explaining the next dish. It felt like we could barely hear full sentence.
Even though gratuity is optional in Portugal, the restaurant machine had only two options explained to us for payment - with or without suggested gratuity. I recommend explaining the third option where the guests can add any % they prefer.

Delicious food, fantastic service and 100% local Portuguese experience. Would highly recommend. Worth noting in Feb, they started serving dinner at 7pm. It got busy very quickly, not sure if booking is preferred.
Absolutely fresh grilled sea bream for lunch! Not your tourist trap. Mostly locals here and the place gets filled for lunch quickly. The house white wine is very drinkable! All in a very pleasant experience!
Really delicious Portuguese food! Service was also very efficient, nice and friendly !
a really amazing original experience in Lisbon. the food is fresh. the service is really friendly. a lot of locals there. for fresh fish (sardines) a really good choice! we has the fish and it was really great.
Nice Portuguese food, good for business lunches.
This place is amazing! The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The food is delicious, and the red sangria is the best I’ve ever had!
I can’t rave about this restaurant enough. From the amazing people that work here (Pedro is the best!) to the atmosphere on this cobblestone street to the fresh seafood... oh my word, the food. If you’re looking for traditional scrumptious Portuguese seafood, this has to be on your list of “must try”. The kitchen closes at 10pm so get there before 9 so you can take your time. My cousin and I ate there for dinner last night and will be heading back today to try the mixed seafood dish for lunch.
The food is great and the Restaurant seating very good for a business event or a very personal one. A good list of wines and liquors. Delicious desserts
Grouper and rabbit were both delicious, and the orange and chocolate sorbet. The dishes and bread on your table when you arrive aren't free though!
I feel ripped off. Don't try. Just pass this. Food is not bad but when you have the receipt, you got shocked. The bread was 4 or 5 Euros. In total, it was 45 Euros
