The Hagrid roller coaster broke down for two hours in midday. While the ride was great, there were few cogent attempts to explain to all the people waiting on the line as to what to do. No managers showed up to help. No attempts were made to placate the elderly or young children. This is a bad customer service opportunity that should have been reversed. Also, they need to switch to virtual lines like Disney uses to avoid people standing outside in increasingly hot summers or they will have medical emergencies on a regular basis. People cannot wait for an uncertain couple of hours without bathrooms or water, especially small children and the elderly. The rest of the rides had short wait times. This particular ride needs a better system. The other rides and this one are great.

This required eatery in the restored Edison Hotel is a Broadway staple and landmark. The Fireman Hospitality Group has some of the best eateries in Midtown, and Shelly has exquisite tastes. Or is it his wife? Don't know. Regardless, you will not leave disappointed. The staff are the best in midtown. This is an ideal place for theatre dining.

This remarkably good diner seems out of place in its location. Now that the Riverdale Diner is closed, this is the only local diner with an attached parking lot.

This place is inexpensive, a block from the local Electrify America charging station in Fort Lee near the Bank of America. It has no parking, so use the BofA lot. The subway tile floor, split dining room, excellent food, and bentwood chairs with the ubiquitous marble topped Parisian Victorian mini tables give it panache. But the eggs were fresh, the chocolate milk was homemade, the bacon was lean and not overcooked, and the fries were uniquely shoestring. The loss of a star on the food was for the crispness of the fries, but American diners rarely do pommes frites right. Overall, it is a very lucky find near to a charging station. We will be back.

This shelter has housed some of our guys who are in transition. You must line up at 9am for the limited number of beds they have available. Theonks are strict but gracious and it adjoins St. Anthony's. Father Louis was recently replaced with Fr. Ignatius. I do not know him, nor have I met him but the monks do outstanding work. This is a sacred place. Do not bring trouble there please.
