Waiting on the spice shop to open, I took a walk around and stumbled on this awesome little bakery that's only been open a few months.
The Homemade Bakery based on 42 Greenhill road, Emmerentia.
They have everything, rolls, breads, cakes, biscuits, doughnuts, koesisters, burger, mini sandwiches, and pitas and this yummy feed chicken sandwich which I tried along either a few other items. So many other items too that you need to visit them, the chocolate cupcakes looked really tempting. They are halaal, not sure if certified though.

Dali Indian Restaurant
Firstly apologies for the not so great pictures, but after being stuck in traffic for more than 2 hours thanks to the rain and traffic I just wanted to heat my food and eat since it got cold and I was starving.
On my way, I had called and placed my order. I was told they didn't have Lamb curry but were busy making a fresh batch. I was more than willing to wait that extra time for fresh curry. So we ordered 2 Lamb and 1 Chicken Curry and Roti, and one portion of Soji. The food was done on time, and I managed to make my way out of the storm.
Can honestly agree this is definitely proper Durban styled curry. I can only imagine the taste when eating it when served fresh or in a Bunny. Loved the flavour of the curry, the gravy and the potatoes. The soji wasn't bad either. A little bit mushy but it still tasted nice.
Will definitely buy again from Dali Restaurant next time I am in the area. I am usually a supporter of another spot nearby but have been dissapointed with my purchases the last few times. So it's taken me a really long time to finally give Dali a try.

Eira Moura
A quick stop for a bite to eat brought us to Eira Moura Portuguese Restaurant & Pub
We knew the food should be good as it's the "sister" restaurant to Casa do Campo - Boksburg (I stand to be corrected)
So as you know I'm on a mission for the best Trinchado and Milho Frito so our waitress Tracy was very knowledgeable on the food etc and so I ordered that with a side of Milho Frito. My sister ordered the Pica Pau - A mixture of meats, steak pieces, chicken fillet, chourico, vienna with pickles on top.
and a Irish Coffee.
While waiting on our food we indulged in the Portuguese rolls and their Chilli sauce which has a lekker kick to it 👍🏻
During this time we had a change in waiter to Jonathan due to some unforeseen circumstances, who assisted us until we left. Although the food was nice, I'm not a fan of the watery Trinchado, i prefer the thicker consistency, the Milho frito wasn't bad either. I found the plating a bit awkward since both items were liquidy, a bowl would have been better suited to avoid making a mess. I think Casa Do Campo still has the upper hand.... sorry Eira Moura ☹
It was rather quiet when we were there, hope its picked up now in the new year as they can all use support.

The Chip Shop
If you looking for carb overload, comfort food then this is for you. We tried the toasted Steak Specials and it wasn't bad. Mine just need a bit of salt on my chips, the masala wasnt too spicy either.
A pretty decent sized sandwich. I didnt like the plain toasted Steak, it was too tomatoey in the sauce and not spicy at all.

Baker Brothers
Popped in for a quick visit with my mom. Bought some bagels and croissants. The smell as you enter is amazing. The croissants are not the usual flaky ones, but my sesame bagel was good. Maybe next time will get some of the loaves.
