Really surreal place, knowing that this is where millions of American families began their journey. You enter Ellis Island and leave on a boat similar to how they did, and I can only imagine what they felt entering the Registry Room and seeing hundreds of other immigrants from all over the world as well for the first time. Before any internet to know where you would end up, they truly left with only hope and a prayer that whatever was on the other side of that ocean was better than where they came from.

I have had pizza in Italy, New Jersey and Connecticut, and I have to say, this style feels perfect to me. And not only that, but the staff and family was so welcoming. It really feels like you’re in a special place filled with lots of charm, character and history. Like a slice out of old New York itself!! ♥️

This place is amazing. I got the eggplant parm hot sub and it’s incredible. The owner is nice and takes the effort to talk kindly to everyone. I was really impressed. They bring in fresh wood for the brick oven often. This place is great, I will definitely go back. Best sandwich I’ve had in New Haven. One of the only places in the city to get food after midnight! Even the diners are closed!

Such a beautiful, serene and historic place. Very lovely. I feel a great sense of peace being here. You can tell everyone walking in the garden is really enjoying their time there as well. 🙂

Really beautiful and gorgeous building. One of the most beautiful exterior areas of any American museum. The ‘Rocky stairs’ and the jet fountain outside are stunning. Walking outside and seeing the skyline of Philadelphia is also spectacular. Inside, there is a beautiful collection on Impressionist art, however, I found the rest of the museum lacked the same quality. But a great collection nonetheless. Some good Picasso, Monet, and Van Gough.
