Kjolle

The Kjolle Experience was simply sublime. Providing a truly one of one experience that all food enthusiasts look forward to.

The detailed background, contextual, and historical information provided by the staff in regards to all the ingredients utilized in the preparation of the food and beverages was simply outstanding. The staff was able to answer any follow up queries with ample details. This further showcased Kjolle’s gastronomical depth and prowess. It was very much a treat for us.

The menu items are extremely well presented and the ingredients are mostly sourced from all over the nearby Amazon and Andes regions. The presentation of the dishes along with the drink pairing (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are out of this world. The service and ambiance is simply world class. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, attentive, courteous, and friendly. They are ready to cater and accommodate your every need.

The experience begins right when you check in. The restaurant itself is quite beautiful. From the very beginning to all the way to the very end, the Kjolle Experience has been designed, curated, and (most importantly) executed with extreme attention to detail.

Kjolle in the Barranco district of Lima, Peru was a world class experience that any foodie would prize. I personally acknowledge and give kudos to Kjolle and its wonderful staff for the monumental effort needed in delivering such a unique, world class, and sublime dining experience.
Staff was very helpful. Provided answers to all of our questions. One way ticket is USD $12. Soles is accepted too. But can’t mix and match currencies. You are able to buy the return bus ticket at the Machu Picchu ruins bus station as well. Same pricing applies. No added benefit in purchasing a round trip ahead of time unless you’re certain. The bus journey from the bus station in Aguas Calientes to the Machu Picchu bus station is around 20-25 minutes.
Indio Feliz had great food and service. Pisco Sour was very well made. Papaya and Avocado salad was quite interesting and something unique. Smoked trout was good. The portion sizes are very large especially combined with the side rice, chips, and vegetables that come with the main courses. Entrecote with the macho sauce was my favorite.
Liuyishou

Liuyishou is one of the best hotpot restaurants we have been to. We have been to quite a few hotpot locations, however this place takes the cake when it comes to flavor and uniqueness. The flavors of the Tom Yum and beef tallow house spicy soup base were sublime. The proteins and vegetables were great overall and absorbed the soup base’s flavor very well. The sauce bar was great with a variety of options. With that being said, we didn’t end up using our amazing creations from the sauce bar all that much because the soup bases offered so much flavor already. The service and ambiance there was top tier. All the staff members were helpful and friendly. Only negative would be that the coconut could have been much more fresh. Would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Nice restaurant with a well thought out interior. The papri chaat dish was a great find. Very authentic Bengali dish I’d say. The chili chicken was a great choice. The garlic and bullet naan were great and went nicely with the chili chicken.
