Gone Wild Safari

I went on 11/05/23 around 2:30 P.M., and it was the most fun and exciting zoo experience ever!

The camels are very aggressive...lol
There was a camel that literally took a cup of feed from the floor of the truck by my feet. Lol
I was a little terrified, but my reaction did not freak it out at all...it had a mission, and it took the cup without spilling any of the feed. Lol!!!

You will enjoy yourself here. I intend to go again.

It is very affordable, too. I believe $8.00 or so per person and $4.00 for the cups of feed.

Really interesting artwork was on display...
and this is a cool venue for comedy shows.

This was my first time going to the Art Center, and I was impressed with the metal work that was on display.
I visited this place the last weekend in July 2023, and our visit here paddling in a canoe for the first time (for me) was the MOST INCREDIBLE, FUN, AND PEACEFUL EXPERIENCE, EVER!!!

A BIG PLUS IS THAT THE SUPPORT STAFF "MONITORS" THE AREA AS THEY ARE GOING ON TOURS WITH OTHERS--SO YOU HAVE A FEEL OF NOT BEING ALL ALONE.

IT was $80.00 to rent a canoe for two people for two hours of paddling and photo taking of nature and each other.

The wild life and beautiful cypress trees will have you wanting to come out to Lake Martin ALL of the time!!!!

I'm a native of south LA and never experienced the swamps this way.

The owners are nice.

PLEASE OBEY THE RULES AND BE BACK WHEN THEY ASK YOU TO RETURN!
YOU WILL BE CHARGED EXTRA FOR NOT RETURNING ON TIME. THEY EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH!!!!

Great place to go to "test the waters" before going at it on your own.

The attendant to the tender or launch brought us quickly and safely to our family's sail boat.

There are 4 stars selected instead of 5 because my family member had to notify the tender attendant that she called for the pump-out boat several times prior to our arrival, and no one came. This delayed our sailing trip; it is frowned upon to leave the club/docked area before getting rid of the waste. 🤣🙄

Fortunately, the cute brunette tender was an effective messenger, and the pump-out pilot made contact with my family member that he was on his way.
July 1, 2023 came here for the first time.

This is a very cool, little aquarium with some exotic sea creatures.

I figured that Shreveport's aquarium would have been slightly bigger, but it was great visiting and enjoying the sights.

The interactive spots to touch the starfish and the anemones/coral was fun.

Seeing the visitors feed the stingrays were really cool, too. It is definitely pleasing and calming to see the sea creatures here.
