Nice small public garden with a historic landmark.
Well maintained.
One, if not the best experience during our stay in Tenerife.
Everyone got to look at the sun from two telescopes, one of which was focused on its solar eruptions. We got to enter one of the buildings with a computer driven telescope. Also, we got to see ourselves via UV camera during a short presentation in a small auditorium.
The guide was very informative and funny.
Pictures are allowed, videos not.
There were sufficient parking spots at the gates.
Tickets must be purchased online. They only have guided entries, and their starting hours depend on the tour's language.
During may on a Thursday (not peak season) we were about 30 people on the english guide, starting at 12:30.
It is recommended to arrive earlier than the guide starting hour as guest parking is down at the gate, and they will take you with a van to the observatorium. We were called on the phone 10 minutes before the tour about our whereabouts (as we were a bit late).
Absolutely stunning landscapes, views, fauna, and flora.
The mountains are mostly covered by cacty and succulents. As you go further up, it becomes more foresty, mossy.
The roads are ok quality, but because of how thin they can get and all the corners and turns along the whole way, it might be best to leave the driving to more experienced drivers. There are paths where larger cars are not allowed due to the width of the road.

The food was ok, but nothing special. We had falafel pita, vegan (without sauce).
The thing I most appreciated is that they are actually open till late night, unlike other fast food restaurants.
Very big airport, be sure to come to the right terminal if you are departing from Barcelona!

Lots of seats, toilets, duty free stores.
It was easy to find our way, there were plenty of signs.
The chairs were quite dirty.
