Beautiful quiet promenade on the water with views of Statue of Liberty and NJ waterfront.

The food is great. They give you are large portions of food, which will definitely last for or week or more depending on how you eat and can resist the temptation of the yellow rice, plaintains, and beans. The beans alone I will gladly eat without hesitation.
They recently renovated the restaurant and so the food is towards the rear as opposed to the front.
I usually go mid-afternoon hardly any wait and the servers are friendly. You have the option of eating in or taking out. Good Food option in Pelham Bay.

Horrible conditions. Mentally Unstable, Drug addicts w/ fresh marks, and seniors living in one building. I feel for the senior tenants who live here. Numerous bed bug infestation from a few tenants. The staff is disrespectful and nosey and do absolutely nothing to assist the tenants to move on from the building. Stay away.

Great prices at this market better than Whole Foods or Stop N Shop. There's a hustle & bustle of Saturday morning on Grand Street. When you get all the items you need to for whatever dish you are cooking, just have your money out to hand over to sales person. Pretty fast exchange of currency.
