Wonderful spot to have a first date! I don't think I would've ever come here if not for my partner, who invited me when we were getting to know each other.

I remember opening the menu and asking if they knew the prices for this place, to which they responded that they did, and not to worry about the cost- just have fun.

The lively music with intimate seating sure helped with loosening up that evening. You can order several things off the menu, as this is more of a "tapas-style" restaurant. Between the fresh oysters and deviled eggs, I was transported to culinary Heaven. If there's any con, it could be that the music was very loud and the seating was rather snug. If you're uncomfortable at the thought of sitting in a small space near other people with dim lighting, I'd recommend trying something else. But for me, it gave me the perfect space to get to know my partner and enjoy high-quality bites.

With enough cash, I would come here again and try the bites I didn't taste the first time. Maybe as an anniversary dinner!

For all the wild shenanigans happening along Fremont Street, it's best to take a break at a restaurant that has hearty food to fill your grumbling stomach. After stopping by Park on Fremont, I highly recommend this to be the place where you get that rest.

It is not a silent establishment with a dress code, as there are people chatting it up in casual wear, with music blasting in the background. However, as an introvert with social anxiety, I still found a sense of calm being seated indoors with its dim lighting and dark tones. I preferred indoor dining because of the somber fact that a homeless person was sitting right across from the outdoor tables.

The paintings around the room could be a bit off putting, or if you're like me, they'll keep you entertained while waiting for food. If you ever saw the movie, "Poor Things" (2023) then that's the best description I have for what the art pieces looked like.

It took a while for a server to take my order, but they were clearly swamped by the influx of customers pouring in, so I took no offense. Just be warned that if you come here hoping to stay briefly, then I suggest you squeeze in extra time. Coming to a food spot along Fremont Street in the evening during summertime (especially on a holiday weekend) you cannot be shocked at the wave of popularity it'll get.

Despite the stress of orders, my server remained positive and respectful towards me and the chefs did their thing in making fresh, mouthwatering quick bites. I ordered chicken tenders smothered in sweet chili sauce with a side of onion rings; I also tried their truffle burger and regular fries that was ordered by my partner. The truffle burger stood out to me the most, but everything was just flawless.

For the first night is Vegas, this was the perfect meal to indulge in.

You thought you knew about the assassination, but you do not...

I ordered tickets minutes before the next tour was starting at 10am; it was nice that there was an available slot last minute. But, do be aware that I came in late November, so this can vary if you visit at a more popular time like June-August. The first part of the tour wasn't too fun, with having to maneuver around a lot of people to read information on the walls. Half of the time, I skipped reading because I felt like I was standing in someone's way. However, for what I did learn, it was valuable and opened my mind beyond the act of the attack on Lincoln and saw how that moment came to be.

For instance, do you really know who John Wilkes Booth is? How was he able to get so close to the President? What was his motivation? All this and more, you can learn from this exhibit.

I was much happier when it was time to sit inside the real theatre the infamous event took place in, and guests were treated to a detailed story about the build-up to the assassination, including what Lincoln did that day- humanizing the former President in a way than most outlets tend to forget. The story is 20-minutes long with no video accompaniment, so without paying attention, you could get bored. Fortunately, you would not be shamed for skipping this portion of the tour or stepping out for any reason. But, I highly suggest to sit through all of it because by the end, I truly felt like I had a better perspective on history.

Afterwards, you're guided across the street to visit the home that Lincoln died in- which was itself a surprise. Did you know he didn't technically die in the theatre? Find out how when you visit this home that illustrates the aftermath of the assassination and how the United States was forever impacted by their loss.

You can choose to skip this part too, but I feel like you'd miss out. There's some great thought-provoking questions that you can carry in your minds afterwards, with my favorite being: Who is your Lincoln? Which president since him has most closely resembled his character & ideals? The options sure were interesting...

Overall, both buildings were clean and respectful to the President, and you get a full view of where he sat on that dreadful day. The crowds were very high for the tour having spare tickets, so a face mask would suffice (and fast reading is helpful). But I learned so much that now when I hear about this historical incident, I can observe it from a new angle, and see what can lead a man to take another one's life, and how we can try to prevent this from happening again.

This burger spot should be renamed to, "Crack Burgers" because one bite of their food will have you addicted! Seriously, that's what my friend and I called it instead of its official title. We've never had anything so good in our lives.

The first time I bit into their burger was back in August 2022. I pulled away from my meal in pure shock when the flavors hit my mouth. I couldn't believe what I was tasting.

It was so rich, juicy, and soft. I almost cried knowing none of the burgers back in my country tasted so good. If I could be any cartoon character, I'd be Plankton from "Spongebob Squarepants" so I can devise a plan to steal their secret formula!

Their fries are just as good; although not the typical french fries that you'd have with a burger. While they do offer regular with no toppings, I'd suggest you try their poutine inspired fries with a trio of toppings: Guac, Tomato, & Sour Cream. Frankly, I never have the stomach to finish the entire plate, but I can't resist getting it every single time. I promise that I'd at least complete the sour cream portion, since that is my favorite part.

Their normal poutine with cheese & syrup is my least favorite of everything I've tried. It's not necessarily bad, just doesn't rank as high as the others. Plus, if you don't eat fast enough, you might just develop an "ick" at the feel of your fries being drenched in syrup. My advice is when you order these fries with toppings, invite a friend who'd share with you. My friend was there, but she refused to try any of them. Would've been a big help to clean off my plate.

You should be met with an employee who speaks enough English to take your order. Some were fluent while others were not, but I'd say all were speaking far better than I do with German. The menu has no English translation however, so I'd recommend you look it up beforehand to translate and confirm what you want before visiting.

Their seating area is just lovely, with a Japanese theme all around. Their food isn't Asian, but their setting sure is with lots of cherry blossoms to take photographs with. They also have seats that give a great view of outside, so you can watch people carrying on with their lives. If that doesn't interest you, they also have a large table in a corner (you'd find it as you're going up the staircase) where you can eat; preferably for those with a huge party or just want a little extra privacy.

When you're done eating, you can leave your tray of food on a metal shelf where they take care of the rest. This is convenient because as I mentioned earlier, my fries were almost never finished, so it saved me a lot of embarrassment. Best believe that I would've ordered takeaway if I could.

My last time eating here was in October 2023, and things could change since that time, but if the chefs know any better, they'd keep their cooking the way it is. This is a burger place that presents itself as a high-class restaurant, because it could be. With its stunning decor, swift service, and incredible food, you can have all the pleasure of experiencing nirvana in just your t-shirt and pants.

Traumkuh is more than a place that sells burgers. It's an out-of-this-world experience.
