Loads of aircraft - nicely restored and in various stages of restoration. The display of early phases of flight were nicely presented. We were there Wednesday morning and it was not very busy so access to the displays was easy. Most of the aircraft descriptions had English in addition to German, most of the timeline displays also did. My only detraction in rating the museum is that the hangar with newer (post 1940s) aircraft was over crowded and disorganized (apparently the museum is updating their displays), many of the aircraft were only partially visible.
Great views from the wall! This is a beautiful restored treasure! There are lots of areas that are very accessible, but if you have mobility issues, there are some irregular stairs and steep climbs as well as areas without railings.
Absolutely worth visiting! An "easy, but hilly" 10 minute walk from the National Palace. The grounds are beautiful with cobblestone paths and some steep stairs. Many of the paths do not have hand rails and may be challenging if you have mobility issues. We were here the beginning of December and the site was not crowded at all, no wait.
Along the Wurttemberg Wine hike. The trail is not as well marked as claimed but no matter where you wander it's exercise mixed with beautiful views.
Nice outside eating area. Service was very good, the waiter never stopped checking on tables and kept everyone pleased! Very tasty "Kellerbier" & Dunkel Bier. Bavarian Sausages were very good and the kraut was sweet and delicious. Only had Mittelsenf (mild mustard) some sharp mustard would have been nice to have.
