Regal Edwards Alhambra Renaissance
It was an overall good experience. My wife and i went to see the Haiku movie. The only thing that concerned us was how long it took for the movie to start. We were already seeing a bung of ads before the 11:50am time and once the time started and all the lights dimmed down at 11:50am it took till 12:20pm for the movie to start because of all the unnecessary amount of movie and show ads we were seeing.
It wouldn't be a big deal, but we are parents of young kids and went during school hours hoping to catch a break, and we were running against time when the movie was finished. We wouldn't have felt in a rush to leave the theater and get home ASAP if it wasnt for the additional 30 minutes of Ads on top of what we were already seeing before the official movie start time. We hope this improves and the ads are shorter to under 10 minutes of the movie time starting, otherwise we wont be able to return and we definitely want to but when you are a parent of young kids that attend school and you choose to go see a movie during school hours, you are playing against time lol. Otherwise, 4 stars for the whole experience in general, even the theater room we were in, was very clean.

Tamale Man
Very friendly customer service, I tried their Tamales for the first time and I was very satisfied with the flavor and the amount of filling that was Inside the Tamales. I just had to come back and order a few dozens of the green chicken and red pork Tamales for Christmas Eve. If you want tasty Tamales that are a good size come here. They do accept debit and credit but I did notice that the transactions are a bit glitchy with the machine they use so if you can, make it easier for your self and for the restaurant and bring cash instead. I'll be here Christmas eve to pick up my order however I will be back even after Christmas. OH! One more thing! The Champurado is also Really good. Don't forget to get your self some to go along with your tamales.

La Cocina de El Sereno
They serve great food at a decent price, it's not that cheap but also not that expensive. you do have to wait a bit for your food to be made if there is a long line of customers but it's not a long wait time vs other restaurants I have been to that make Mexican food.
parking is available right next to the restaurant from their own private parking lot to free street parking without a meter! I've been to places where you have to pay for parking just about everywhere in the city just to be able to get some lunch. They accept cash, debit and credit cards, visa Master cards, etc. They have some of the BEST Aguas Frescas, I love their mixed fruit one and the pineapple water. I highly recommend this place to you if you are ever in the El Sereno area. I live in Highland Park and come here just to grab some lunch.
