The Fishmarket

It is the only fish restaurant in the area the day we went and we had our fish and chips to take away.
A good portion of fish and a bit short for chips.
We paid £20 in total for two medium fish and a small portion of chips( £3.50)
It is a bit expensive compared to other places which they do not use frozen chips.
Beautiful building full of life and enjoyment. Lots of queues and people dancing in the ballroom.
The cafeteria is a bit depressing as the service is very slow to be serving three people
The soft drinks cost £2.50 at the counter and £2.00 in the machine situated on the same floor.
Magnificent views over the sea and promenade.
It wasn't a market day, only Tuesdays and Saturdays. We even enjoyed the visit to the village and took lots of pictures of the beautiful facades. There is so much history through the walls and houses that if you can stop and close your eyes, you can listen to the old tales.
Costa Coffee

Nice coffee shop in the town centre of Saffron Walden. It was late so there wasn't much choice for cakes but I had the best one of lemon and marmalade.
The capuchino coffee with soya milk is free of charge as alternative milk which I appreciate.
There was plenty of space and some tables needed to clean a bit but the staff was busy topping up the shelves.
Friendly place with nice views.
