Prairie Dog Central Railway Grosse Isle Station
Our family loves the Prairie Dog Central, we go every year! The ride always has a theme and we've always do the Cowboys and Robbers one. This year the kids wanted to do the Halloween train. It was great for the kids but we felt a little slighted as adults. The ticket included a character artist who drew a picture of each kid. A best costume and candy guess game for each train car. And a candy bag for the kids. I feel like we all paid full price we should have all received some of those items.
This ticket also came with lunch, now I almost lowered my stars over this. Lunch was good, a hotdog, a drink and a bag of chips per person. BUT we happened to be one of the last groups off the train (because I believe it's helpful to push our way off) so they split almost 300 people into only 2 lines for food. We stood in line for an hour, with our kids going understandably a little stir crazy. Then we felt rushed to eat and nervous we wouldn't get a chance to go in the haunted house. We did get in and it was very cute and not scary for the littles. They should have done split time for food with half the people going to do the haunted house and watching the performance while half eat and then at whatever set time the next half does the opposite. I was rather disappointed in the organization of this part.
But was very amused and impressed by the great job they did with all the decorations. I know this train is run mostly with volunteers so we love the effort.

Sherlock Park
Play park was so much fun! What a unique place for kids of ALL ages to run around.
My only upset was that the washrooms were closed, sign on the door said they should be open.

Nature Playground
May 2023, playground is open for the season!
This playground is ok but needs some work lots of rubber patches have come up leaving concrete holes in the play areas.
I wish there's was more than 4 swings, lots of kids just stay on the swings so others don't get a turn.
People also seem to not follow the no bikes in the park policy, not great either so many littles running around.

Hide n Seek Winnipeg
This place is loud and will spin your head around and you'll for sure leave with a headache HOWEVER your kids will LOVE IT!
This is my 4 & 5 year olds most requested place to go. It has stuff for all ages, including a little kids only section (I believe for under 3 year olds) but I suggest your kids be over 4 and independent. There's a lot going on and bigger kids running and pushing there way past. Adults (even plus size individuals) can go in lots of places but not all of them are adults aloud!
I wish the food was better. And I wish they had a quiet room for some kids yo take a sensory break.
