Low key (for now) hub for great local food & drink options, gym, yoga, martial arts BUT during recent renovations the new managers decided to cut down the trees that were the only source of shade in the parking lot. I was very disappointed and Hope they plant plenty of new ones.
I'm not a member, but attend Dinner & Soul every Thursday. Pastor Welton is an excellent listener, as well as preacher. I'd say the chruch has relatively conservative/fundamental theology, but still very open and loving to all. Family friendly!
Fun water features during the summer. My 3 year old loves it so I don't mind its issues.
The park used to be gorgeous but is not very well maintained. Better maintained than most parks this side of the river, though (has all it's swings intact). Feels safe due to the layout and sight lines to both ends of the block, but also makes it a good spot for dealers.
Family-owned and operated French immersion child care center, Francophone community services, and cultural arts events. Offers VERY flexible, long hours and affordable rates for everyone. Owner accepts vouchers, but fulltime and drop-in rates are already extraordinarily low. Caters to African Francophones, all are welcome!
