Gelateria del Teatro was recommended to us by our tour guide at the museums. This place is amazing! They have a variety of flavors, including unique flavors that were spot-on perfect. Although there was a line, it moved quickly and the staff was very helpful. What a great recommendation... thank you for a lovely evening gelato!
We visited Regoli Pasticceria during our final hour in Rome. Conveniently located near the train station, it was the perfect breakfast spot before catching our train to Naples. Our mission was clear: to try the best maritozzo in Italy. I'm thrilled to say that Regoli Pasticceria did not disappoint. The maritozzo was phenomenal, and the espresso paired perfectly with it.

This place is bustling, so it’s helpful to know the ordering process. Here’s a quick guide:

The Setup: There are two doors and two sides – one is the primary bakery, and the other is the coffee bar. While you can get a maritozzo on the coffee side, the supply is limited, so it’s best to start at the bakery side.

Step 1: Head to the cash register, place your order (including coffee), and pay (they prefer cash).

Step 2: You’ll receive your pastry and a receipt.

Step 3: If you ordered coffee, take your receipt to the coffee bar and hand it to a barista.

Step 4: Enjoy your coffee and pastry.

Seating is limited, but it’s a quick breakfast spot, so seats open up frequently. You can also choose to stand at the bar.

Regoli Pasticceria is truly wonderful and not to be missed if you’re in Rome!
Panzerotti Luini

Having never had Panzerotti, we didn’t really know what to expect, but since this place has been in business since 1888, you know they are doing everything right! We were in Italy for a total of two weeks, and these Panzerotti have to be the most delicious quick lunch we had the entire time. They are served piping hot. Ordering takes less than a minute and your food is handed to you instantaneously. For this reason, do not be deterred by any lines… they move wicked fast. Our very favorite Panzerotti was the hot salami (like U.S. pepperoni) and mozzarella. The ricotta and spinach Panzerotti was a close second. Honestly, we even had leftovers that we warmed the next day and they were still AMAZING!!! Do not miss this place. It’s inexpensive and of superb quality. I wish we could have eaten here more than once.
The Maligne Lake Cruise exceeded our expectations. The tour guides were incredibly kind and educational. We learned so much about Maligne Lake, its history, and the beautiful landscape that surrounds the lake. Seeing the mountains from the middle of the lake was a welcome perspective after seeing so many lakes during our trip. The boats were clean and well-maintained. We were given the opportunity to disembark and walk up a small trail to get a better view of Spirit Island. Pictures just cannot do it justice. This was an unforgettable experience, and we loved every minute of it. I would highly suggest it to anyone considering.
El Merkury

We loved El Merkury! I would rate the churros as the best item. In fact, we purchased two for our group of six, but they were consumed so quickly that I didn't even get a picture. LOL! The freshly made churros went perfectly with the ice cream and cute toppings. The street corn was also good, as were the pupusas. My friend had never had pupusas and loved them. Yum!
