Being a West Coaster visiting New Yorker, I will admit that my expectations are very high on sushi. However, I did enjoy the crispy rice roll and chirashi don. The zen ambiance does add to the simplistic joy of eating sushi - I would recommend as a place for two.

I came for here for a New Year's Eve dinner with a group of friends and split a several plates. The care of ingredients in food and cocktails was superb especially in the duck egg arepa, which was my favorite. Though I personally questioned the server's strong backing of the caesar salad, it was delivered on the flavor palette. I enjoyed the Basque touches on South American dishes a lot.

As an observer of culture and ambiance, it was fun experience for anyone who appreciates LGBTQ+ community.

I lived in New York in the early 2010s and came back to eat here for my first meal in 2024. Golden Unicorn was my #2 place grab dim sum. While waits are long especially if you come with a group of ten, I do think there is a genuine willingness to serve. Food is solid.

Only slight con would be if you want to get the shrimp rice rolls (ha cherng fen or xia chang fen), you may need to get up to the cart because those got served quick.
