Blues Alley Club
This jazz listening club is a great spot in the heart of Georgetown. The atmosphere is good for listening to jazz and experiencing a performance in an intimate and cozy spot. The tables are very close to the stage and close to each other. The stage is shallow and the band is right next to the patrons. It’s the closest you can get to musicians without actually being on stage.
The doors open early and they have a dinner menu focused around creole / New Orleans cuisine. The food is decent and the drink select is pretty good.
Though, the reason to attend is always for the music and to witness the performers building an experience from start to finish.

City ZEN All Day Bar Restaurant
The rooftop is nice for watching sunsets with a view of the Acropolis.
There are a couple of places near that also have penthouse / rooftop terrace views that are good, but the menu here is extensive and there are some good items on it.
It’s worth a stop for a quick drink and to soak up the nice sunset. It was not very crowded when I was there, though it was in January and not during the height of tourist season.

Perfect Pub environment with good chicken tenders. It’s simple and enjoyable.
It’s the best for quick meetups or long hangs before heading to Penn Station. My go-to spot.

Full Count Sculptures
Nice modern sculpture that is stylistic and unique. It’s located in a nice outdoor plaza that is a good place to sit and relax for a moment away from the National Mall.

I was looking for a lunch spot with fish and chips. This place came up on my search and I’m glad it did.
The vibe of the interiors is chill. There’s a market at the front, bar & booth seating next and tables in the back. This would be a good place for happy hour or an indulgent long dinner.
The seafood is very fresh and other items on the menu taste homemade. I highly recommend the chips. I was more expecting fries for the “chips” though I’m glad with what showed up at the table because these house made potato chips have a hint of sea salt & red wine vinegar. They are absolutely addictive.
The service was the best part of the experience. Everyone was friendly and attentive.
I will for sure be back.
