Le Jardin de Mademoiselle

So wonderfully decorated for fall, I love it! This place is a bit overpriced, but I think you’re partially paying for the decoration. The waitress did not explain anything to us, so we just listened to her talk to the table next to us to learn more about the cafe, their tea selection, etc. Hm.
I got the menu mademoiselle, the hot cocoa wasn’t very thick but the flavor was good! The pumpkin spice latte was also okay.
I loved the scones (I got the vanilla flavor) but the “3 maple cookies” they were trying to charge 5+ euros for are literally just a Canadian brand of boxed cookies, very inflated pricing which I disliked. All in all I would love to come again for Christmas and see what their menu is because it does change with each season!

New Jawad Longchamp

I visited New Jawad for my boyfriend’s birthday, and we had an okay experience! The restrooms were impeccably clean, the decor was pretty, and the vegetable samosas were delicious. I must also compliment the staff as they are very attentive and professional!
However, there were some glaring issues. The sweet sauce provided had bananas in it for some reason? Very weird.
The butter chicken (the signature dish) I had was probably the worst I’ve ever eaten, and that was so disappointing. It was more oily than creamy, and it had a very strong bacon taste for some reason? I found small flat chunks of what I assumed must be some other kind of meat, because even my boyfriend remarked that it tasted like pork, which wouldn’t make any sense.
Lastly, the “saffron” rice was 5 euros for a relatively small portion and maybe 2 drops of color.
All in all, I’d like to give another location a try and maybe see if this butter chicken was just a fluke.
