Sushi Bar Miami Beach
2024 Apr 13
For the adventurous sushi eater, no words can truly describe the absolute joy this experience will bring you. This was an excellent Omakase Experience. Chef was personable, experienced, and inviting. I dined solo, but by the end of the meal, I had gained new friends amongst my fellow patrons at the sushi bar. My point is that it was so intimate, and truly a dining & social experience beyond just dinner. I was able to secure a table at the last minute and reserve my seat on Tock; a $52 commitment to reserve. The dining experience also included a welcome cocktail at the hotel's speakeasy on the lower level, which opens at 5. I recommend getting there at least 1/2 hour prior to your dining start time.
The sushi included a 16 course omakase experience - Chef explained the details of the evening before starting us off with our first course. The best part? You eat with your fingers. We were surprised with several additions for purchase on 3 of the 16 pieces as well, a take it or leave it approach. Our additions included truffle, among others, which I did choose to indulge in. I am so happy I did.
The drink menu was extensive, they included recommended pairing flights of sake. I requested a glass of their most floral sake within the recommended pairing - crisp , dry, delightful.
Overall, the experience was incredible. The attention to detail, and care for guests was authentic. I was in Miami celebrating my birthday, and chef had a birthday card made for me and signed by the entire staff. Wow, is all I can say.
A word of caution for those unfamiliar with Omakase, you should know, this is not a place where you order 'rolls' or dunk your sushi in soy sauce. The Chef curates individual pieces of delicious sushi that include specific flavor profiles to perfection. I promise, you will not be disappointed and you won't miss the soy sauce!

La Sandwicherie Miami Beach

La Sandwicherie in Miami Beach offers a pleasant outdoor walk-up counter experience. Recently, I tried their Sobe Club sandwich on a croissant, and it was quite impressive. The croissant was flaky and buttery, enhancing the overall taste of the sandwich. Their secret sauce added a nice touch, enhancing the flavor profile.
What sets La Sandwicherie apart is its genuine French ambiance, despite its outdoor setting. It manages to evoke a cozy Parisian vibe, which adds to the overall experience. The quality of ingredients in the sandwich was notable, with fresh and flavorful components.
The service was efficient, with staff remaining friendly and attentive despite the busy environment. Overall, La Sandwicherie offers a satisfying sandwich experience in a charming outdoor setting. If you're in Miami Beach and looking for a decent sandwich spot, this is worth a try.

The Roof at Esme Hotel

Having an espresso martini at the Esme Hotel's rooftop bar was really something special. The vibe was relaxed, like being in Tulum, and you could tell the people at the pool were having a relaxing time. The espresso martini tasted great, with the flavors blending together perfectly.
But it wasn't just about the drinks. The whole experience was awesome. The place looked cool, the music was good, and the breeze felt nice.
Whether you're looking for a romantic night or just want to hang out with friends, you should definitely check out the rooftop bar at the Esme Hotel. It's like stepping into a fancy world where everything is amazing.
The only negative was that the cocktail I ordered was not on the menu, so I was surprised to see the bill at over $22 for my one drink when some of the others were offered for as low as $8. Word to the wise to either ask how much it will cost, or just be okay with paying a premium for a drink off the menu, even if you're sure it's a pretty standard drink

I loved this bar. It has speakeasy vibes but open to the public , and easily accessible. The drinks were beautiful and the flavors were unique. I loved the menu as well, the whole experience reminded me of Disneyland , sort of whimsical , fun and interesting! A great place to stop in for a drink at the very least .
