I meet a friend here sometimes and while we lounge in the sun and solve world problems happy children have fun on the play equipment. This park is right beside Bailey Rd Shopping Centre where there are a number of food places. My favourite takeaway is from the Polynesian Takeaway.... yum. Picnicing outside is always a joy. There are public toilets located in the park and there is enough room for my dog on his leash to stretch his legs and beg for pats from the kids. The park is maintained by Moreton Bay City Council and the grounds people do a good job.

They may look like mud flats to you at low tide but they are far more. Deception Bay provides a superb nursery for many species of sea creatures and the birds are so numerous. You will spot new each time you stop to look.
Of concern is the rubbish that ends up in the water causing death and destruction to sea life. If you see rubbish and can, bin it.
Our planet is precious. The Deception Bay Conservation Area is so special. It needs to be treasured.

Even without the usual amount of rain we receive on the far north coast driving through Cascade National Park was awesome. Tall ghostly gums! Every shade of green you can imagine. Colourful birds and butterflies flitting through the trees. This are deserves to be treasured.
