Knot Just a Prayer

Definitely worth a visit if you’re staying in Porto Venere. I was hoping to celebrate mass there, but just didn’t have the time.

So cool to visit a church built in the 4th century. That would have been just after Constantine stopped the persecution of the Christians. It is not an operational church though. Wear good shoes with good grips. The stairs leading to the church are made of stone and years of wear have made them slippery. You will also see some great views from up there. Check out the grotto to the right of it where people go swimming. If you like adventure, you might want to take a dip there too!
