Pretty good small station. Trains don’t run all the time but this place is clean and safe and easy to reach from most places in Bergerac.
Philadelphia International Airport

An airport showing its age. While efficient enough, this place is crowded, dirty, and horrifically inefficiently designed for boarding planes. The American lounge in terminal C is pretty nice though, as it’s newer.
The bustling crowds (average) and neon signs (new) do little to detract from the claustrophobic halls and overall decaying vibe of the place.
It’s not like you have a choice when flying to and from Philadelphia, but let’s hope the next decade has an upgrade in store here!

Harbor Square Theatre

There’s some old school charm at work here, but a lot of the infrastructure of a modern theater too— not a ton to complain about aside from the fact it can get fairly crowded and the “restaurant” at the front seems like an afterthought.
Definitely a 4.5 I’d say. And when you’re the only game in town, you get to write the rules I suppose. Good sound quality too without being overwhelming. Which is nice.

AMC Waterfront 22

A delightfully art deco / fantasy 20th century behemoth of a theater offering Pittsburgh’s only true IMAX and Dolby theater. If you care about cinematic excellence, you’re going to need to make the trek out here. There’s precious little in the way of high quality attractions around the theater, but the structure itself is the highlight and the reason for your trip. It feels a bit 1920s and a bit 1990s and somehow that’s still ok. The interior is in relatively good shape and feels Disney-Esque: everything is huge and suggests the classic wonder of the movies that we all sort of think of nostalgically.
The concessions area is about 20x as large as it needs to be and is now understaffed. Automated drink machines do the majority of the work. So it all ends up looking quite abandoned even if 200 people are queued up in the lobby! That’s how large this place is.
Getting to a movie theater is a simple experience and very accessible for anyone in a wheelchair. Given the size and relative lack of staffing it really is kept up in pretty good shape and they should be praised for that! But you can tell the whole thing is beginning to lose a little luster and automation has stolen the vibe that used to abound here…
Enjoy it while it lasts.

Monk Vintage

I don’t know why Buffalo is on the ground level and Monk is in the basement level but Monk is BY FAR the better store. It’s larger, has better stock, and seems more tastefully designed. Some of the largest selection I’ve ever seen in a thrift store. High quality stuff from recent years and farther back in time, but not too far. As usual mens section is about 20%, womens 80%.
