Enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Rustic Root with about a dozen family members! The entire staff was fabulous as we were a large bunch that dribbled in slowly. The atmosphere was indeed rustic with cathedral ceilings and lots of space in between tables. The food was great. I loved my egg sandwich. Everyone was very happy 😊!!! The portions were huge. Highly recommend the Rustic Root!!!

St. Ambrose is a stunning church with easy accessibility on US 1 in Deerfield Beach. It looks beautiful lit up at night. The interior includes the traditional stained glass windows. I love the masses here. This weekend they have the carnival for the kiddies. I think it continues through Sunday, Feb 26.

I have a very good friend who is an architect so I take note of Charles McKirahan's work as he was one of the most celebrated mid-20th-century architects in Fort Lauderdale. I heard his studio was located in this shopping center. Geometric forms along with both glazed curtain and screen block walls are the design elements throughout the Time Square shopping plaza. Unfortunately, this looks a little run down even though it was renovated 3 years ago. It houses Time Square Pizza, a bar and a few other stores. It's worth a peak if you are into architecture.

Quiet, small park in Essex Fells. It has a short loop and tennis courts. Always peaceful - highly recommend !
