S and S

After the sudden passing of my brother at the end of last year, followed a few weeks later our rescue military GSD, Duke, also passed, life was pretty depressing, I had no direction, my compass was broken. Then I found Unity Farm Sanctuary, and my sole is a live once again with the help of my new 2 and 4 legged friends. I work full time, Monday through Friday, 8 to 10 hours a day, so I have long days that can be very stressful. Yet, the minute I turn into UFS driveway the stress is gone, I can breathe. I pick up poop and love every minute of it. Then I made myself a promise to stay a Then I made myself a promise to stay an extra hour, at least, sometimes longer, to give them hugs, scratch their bellies, and groom them. There is nothing like UFS, I can't explain it, it has become my Sanctuary, I'm honored to help take care of these wonderful animals. It’s a 2-way street, these amazing creatures are helping me restore my soul, and I hope I'm doing the the same for them. Wasn’t sure what to get my husband for the holidays. I decided round of golf for him and his friend at Wayland country club. I was traveling from Marlboro. I called spoke to a wonderful person that said he would wait for me until I got there. It’s just two days before the Christmas weekend. I’m sure he had better things to do but he waited for me when I walked in the door because I promised him I would be there before 3 o’clock. He said with a big smile are you, Sandy? That was me. I cannot say enough about Jonathan waiting for me. He went above and beyond patiently waiting until I got there to give this Christmas gift. I think I have decided to take and in the spring I will go back to Wayland and see if I can hack up their course, I will probably need a few lessons maybe more than a few, but it is because Of Jonathan‘s kindness act of waiting for me that I will select you folks to Teach me to play golf. What a wonderful representation of your country club, There should be more Jonathan’s in the world. I talked to him three days ago. How the hell he remembered my name I have no idea, but God bless him.!

Friends told me that we needed to try the roast beef sandwich, wasn’t disappointed, it was pretty amazing. Also ordered the chicken caprice sandwich that came in a close second. Live right around the corner. I forgot how wonderful their food is. Will become a frequent flyer, next on the list is to try one of their hotdogs. The owner was very nice.
